  2. Connect your smartphone to your Wi-Fi network.

NOTE: If using a dual-band router, ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi Network, not a 5GHz Wifi Network. Refer to your router manual for details.

  1. Open the “Cam4Home Plus" APP. Create a user account by pressing the "sign up" button.
  2. Add a new camera by tapping the "+" button and scanning the camera's QR code (refer to chapter 2). Follow the app's instructions to complete registration.

NOTE: For registration issues, refer to Chapter 5.

4. Cam4Home Plus Management

Camera Dashboard:

Access the camera dashboard from the main "device" menu to view the live stream.

Camera Settings:

Navigate to the camera dashboard and tap the settings icon ⚙️.

Push Notifications:

In the device menu, tap the 3 dots icon ••• and select "Alarm Notifications" ?. Tap the "Alarm Notification" button to enable/disable notifications.

Important: Ensure you have granted the app permission to display pop-up notifications.

Motion Detection:

To enable/disable motion detection: Camera dashboard --> Settings icon ⚙️ --> Arm settings --> Motion detection. Motion detection is enabled by default.

Video Storage:

Local video recording requires a Micro-SD card (see chapter 5.1) or an activated Cloud Storage Plan.

NOTE: Motion detection must be enabled to receive push notifications.

5. Installation

Check your WiFi signal strength at the camera's location. For optimal performance, your smartphone should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Note: Photograph the label on the back of the camera for serial number, MAC address, or QR-Code reference.

5.1. Micro SD Installation (Optional)

Locate the Micro SD-Card compartment (chapter 2, point 8). Slide the card slot to the OPEN position, insert the Micro-SD card, and slide it back to the LOCK position.

NOTE: A Micro SD-Card is mandatory for local recording. Ensure it is CLASS10 rated (8GB to 256GB).

5.2. Installation Without Mounting Bracket

  1. Choose an installation location near a power socket. Turn on the camera and use the app's live view to position it for optimal monitoring.
  2. Use the included hex wrench to open the dome cover by unfastening three inner hex screws.
  3. Stick the mounting map sticker onto the ceiling or wall.

Diagram of camera parts with labels:

  1. Use the mounting map sticker to mark drilling points: three for screws, one large hole for Ethernet port and power connector.
  2. Drill the marked points and install plastic anchors. Choose cable exit option:
    • For rear exit: Drill a hole matching the large marking on the sticker (ideally SDS-max 20mm drill).
    • For side exit: Route cables through the U-shape side exit on the dome pedestal.

NOTE: If a 20mm hole is not feasible (e.g., concrete wall), the Ethernet port can be cut off (see Chapter 2) and sealed. This requires a 12mm drill. Warning: Cutting the Ethernet port disables wired connection and may void the return right.

  3. Align the dome camera with the sticker and fix screws into the anchors.
  4. Adjust the camera lens using the rotation bracket (355° horizontal, 64° vertical). Ensure the LED ring is not blocked by the housing.
  5. Note: When rotating vertically by 64°, pay attention to image rotation to avoid IR light blockage.

  6. Secure the dome housing to the pedestal with the inner hex screws.
  7. Connect the camera power connector to the power supply cable and plug into a socket. Optionally, connect via Ethernet cable to the router.

5.3. Installation with Mounting Bracket (Optional)

The VIO-DMB1 mounting bracket is an optional accessory. Refer to the bracket's manual for installation.
