Beginner's Guide to Use
Battery Charging
When you put the earphones into the charging case, they start charging.
Pay attention to:
- Before using the headphones, please place them in the charging case and charge the battery for 2 hours to ensure optimal battery power and lifespan.
- Only use the original USB-C charging cable to avoid any damage.
- After ending the call, recharge. Connect the earphones to the charger, and the earphones will automatically shut down.
- If headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery's storage capacity will be insufficient. To avoid such losses, please fully charge the battery at least once every three months.
Charging Case
Prompt: Usually, it takes 2 hours to fully charge headphones or charging cases through a USB cable.
Connect one end of the USB-C charging cable to the charging case and the other end to the power source.
Prompt: The charging case is used as a portable backup battery to charge the earphones. After the charging case is fully charged, it can fully charge the earphones twice.
Wearing Method
Inserting Headphones
Check the left and right orientation of the headphones.
Insert the headphones into your ear and gently twist them until they fit securely.
Pairing Headphones with Bluetooth Devices
For the first time
Make sure the headphones are fully charged and the power is turned off.
2. Open the upper cover of the charging case and take out the earphones. The earphones will power on automatically. The blue and white light on the main ear alternates flashing, while the light on the secondary ear goes out.
The earphones are now in pairing mode and can be paired with Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device.
Pair the earphones with Bluetooth devices. Please refer to the user manual of the Bluetooth device.
Pay attention to: After the headphones are turned on, if they cannot find any previously connected Bluetooth devices, they will automatically enter pairing mode approximately 15 seconds later.
Example Pairing
The following example demonstrates how to pair headphones with Bluetooth devices:
- Turn on the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device and select “Philips TAT1020”.
- If prompted to enter the headphone password, please enter "(4 zeros)". For Bluetooth devices with Bluetooth 3.0 or higher versions, no password is required.
Single Earphone (Mono Mode)
Remove the left or right earphones from the charging case for mono mode. The headphones will automatically turn on.
Pay attention to: Take out the second earphone from the charging case, and the two earphones will automatically pair.
Pair with Another Bluetooth Device
If you want to pair another device with the headphones, simply press and hold the multi-function buttons of both headphones for 4 seconds simultaneously to enter the pairing mode. Then put them back in the charging case and take them out again. After that, pair them with the second device in the regular way.
Pay attention to: The headphone memory can store up to 4 devices. If the device attempting to pair exceeds 4 units, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the latest paired device.
Using Headphones
Connect to Bluetooth Device
- Turn on the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device.
- Open the upper cover of the charging case and take out the earphones. The white LED indicator light is flashing.
The headphones will search for the last connected Bluetooth device and automatically reconnect to it. If the last connected device is unavailable, the headphones will automatically enter pairing mode. Users can discover the headphones on their mobile phones and then select to connect to them.
Prompt: If you first turn on the headphones and then turn on the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device, then you must go to the Bluetooth menu of the device and manually connect the headphones to the Bluetooth device.

When the headphones are connected to the mobile device, the battery level of the headphones will be displayed on the mobile device. When both earphones are taken out within 4 seconds, the battery level will be displayed only once.
Reset Earphones
If you encounter any pairing or connection issues, you can follow the steps below to reset the headphones to factory settings.
- Enter the Bluetooth menu of the Bluetooth device and go to the device list. Delete “Philips TAT1020”.
- Turn off the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device.
- Remove the earphones from the charging case (ensuring no Bluetooth device is connected). Simultaneously press and hold the L/R multifunction touch key for 4 seconds to clear all information.
- Follow the instructions of 'Using Earphones – Connect Earphones to Bluetooth Devices'. Follow the steps in the operation.
- Pair the earphones with your Bluetooth device and select “Philips TAT1020”.
Prompt:
- The reset function is not available when only one earphone is used. The reset function is triggered only when both earphones are turned on and connected to each other.
- When the Bluetooth device is not connected, the reset function will not be triggered when connecting the Bluetooth device.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
The Bluetooth earphones cannot be turned on.
The battery is low. Charge the earphones. Bluetooth earphones cannot pair with Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth function is not turned on. Before turning on the headphones, first turn on the Bluetooth device and enable the Bluetooth function on the device.
Unable to pair.
Put the two earphones into the charging case. Ensure that the Bluetooth function of any previously connected Bluetooth devices has been disabled. Go to the Bluetooth device and remove “Philips TAT1020” from the Bluetooth list. Pair the earphones (see page 6 for the first time pairing earphones).
Pairing with Bluetooth devices.
The Bluetooth earphones are connected to a phone that supports Bluetooth stereo, but music can only be played through the phone's speakers. Please refer to the user manual of your mobile phone. Choose to listen to music through headphones.
The Bluetooth device cannot find the earphones.
The headphones may have been connected to a previously paired device. Close the connected device or move it out of the connection range. The pairing may have been reset, or the earphones may have been previously paired with another device. Re-pair the earphones with the Bluetooth device according to the instructions in the user manual. (See page 6) Pairing headphones with Bluetooth devices for the first time.
Music can only be played through the phone's speakers.
Please refer to the user manual of your mobile phone. Choose to listen to music through headphones.
The sound quality is too poor, you can hear popping sounds.
The Bluetooth device is out of the connection range. Shorten the distance between headphones and Bluetooth devices, or move away obstacles between the two. Charge the earphones.
When mobile phone transmission is slow, or when audio transmission is impossible, the sound quality is very poor.
Ensure that your phone not only supports (mono) HFP, but also A2DP, and is compatible with BT4.0x (or higher version) (see technical data on page 11).
