Symbols Explanation

Important Tips and Information

The CE marking signifies the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the requirements of the European Union's "New Approach" directives. For safety and certification reasons, the device must not be rebuilt or modified in any way. Using the power supply for purposes other than described may damage the product and could lead to hazards such as short-circuits, burns, or electric shocks. Users should read the manual carefully and retain it for future reference. The product should only be shared with third parties if accompanied by this user manual.

This product complies with EU directive 2002/96/EC. The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that the product must not be disposed of with household waste. After its useful life, the product should be returned to a designated collection point for used electrical and electronic equipment or to the seller. Proper segregation of waste facilitates subsequent processing, recovery, or destruction, helping to avoid negative impacts on the environment and health, and enabling the recovery of raw materials.

The RoHS mark indicates the manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances (2002/95/EC) directive, which aims to reduce the amount of hazardous substances released into the environment from electrical and electronic waste.

Protection Class and Intended Use

This is a Class II protection device, offering protection against electric shock from both direct and indirect contact. Thanks to additional isolation, connecting the device case to a protective earth conductor is not necessary.

The device is intended for domestic use only, and specifically for indoor environments.

Safety Precautions

WARNING! The product heats up during operation. To reduce the risk of burns or overheating, do not place the power supply in areas with restricted ventilation. Avoid allowing the working power supply to touch soft surfaces like pillows, blankets, or clothing. The power supply meets the surface temperature limits for users as defined by the International Standard for Safety of Information Technology Equipment (IEC 60950).

Connecting LED strips or other devices that demand more power than the power supply can provide may lead to battery failure or damage (burnout) of the power supply itself.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can occur when two objects touch, such as when touching a metal door handle after walking on a carpet. Discharging static electricity from fingers or other conductors can damage electronic components. To prevent damage to electronic components, avoid touching electrical outlets, wires, and electronic circuits. Minimize direct user contact with electronic components.

The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the failure to follow the safety instructions and information provided in this user manual.

Removing the Most Common Problems

Problem Cause Solution
The LED strip or other device connected via power supply does not work No mains voltage
  • Check the correct connection of the power supply to the energy grid.
  • Check the mains fuses.
The power adapter is overloaded
  • Disconnect the power adapter from the energy grid.
  • Check the correctness of the current parameters.
Incorrect connection of the device
  • Ensure the power supply is correctly connected to the power grid.
  • Check that the connected cords are in good contact.
There is a suspicion of a product defect
  • Stop using the product and contact the seller.
The LED strip lights poorly The power adapter does not correspond to the current parameters
  • Check that the power of the LED strip corresponds to the power supply's capacity.

How to Choose the LED Power Supply Correctly?

To properly match the power supply with an LED strip, multiply the length of the strip (in meters) by its power rating. Then, select a power supply with a margin of at least 10% to ensure long and trouble-free system operation, unless the LED strip manufacturer recommends otherwise.

Connecting the LED Strip to the Power Supply

  1. Prepare the correct length of the LED strip.
  2. Solder the output cables from the LED power supply to the LED strip, observing the correct polarity.
  3. WARNING! For larger LED lighting installations, it is recommended to divide the strip into smaller sections.
  4. LED strips in RGB versions require an RGB controller.

Connecting the Power Supply to the Energy Grid

  1. Prepare a 3-wire power cable. WARNING! Ensure all cables are not live before proceeding.
  2. Remove approximately 0.5 cm of insulation from the ends of the cables.
  3. Solder or twist the input wires of the power supply with the power cable, following the color coding.
  4. Insulate the connected wires properly to prevent them from touching each other or becoming wet.
  5. Turn on the power.
