IKEA BERGVATTNET: Water-Saving Bathroom Collection
Available from August 2025
Prepare your bathroom to stay almost as you are used to
We are all completely dependent on fresh water, which is becoming an increasingly scarce resource. Therefore, IKEA strives to reduce consumption in all aspects, from the sourcing and production of our range to how customers use our products in their homes.
That's why we are introducing the BERGVATTNET collection, which is functional, cheerful, and focused on efficient water consumption.
BERGVATTNET and broader contexts
Water availability and quality is an increasingly serious global problem. Four out of ten visitors to IKEA stores today live in areas with water scarcity. Through our water management program, we are committed to striving to reduce the consumption of fresh water. An example of these efforts is the BERGVATTNET collection. We will also strengthen our efforts to improve water quality and prioritize steps that will lead to access to clean water in communities worldwide.

The same shower. But also different.
The goal of the BERGVATTNET collection is to reduce water flow, monitor consumption, and capture water that would otherwise be wasted. With these simple and affordable products, more efficient water consumption easily becomes an integral part of your daily life. And you can remain yourself.
Less water in the drain
Does it also seem to you that the water in the shower is completely icy before it starts to flow warm? Now you can simply collect it drop by drop and use it later. The BERGVATTNET automatic switch automatically redirects water with a temperature below 32°C to the BERGVATTNET bucket, and as soon as the water heats up sufficiently, it switches back to the hand shower. You can use the collected water to water plants, flush the toilet, or wash floors.
Get an award for the fastest shower...
With the digital BERGVATTNET water meter, you can keep track of how long you shower, at what temperature, and how much water you consume. Simply connect it to any shower mixer with a bottom outlet, and it's highly likely that you'll enjoy saving water much more. Who in your family will win the award for the fastest – or coldest – shower?
A slower flow has its advantages
Thanks to much smaller nozzles, the flow rate of the BERGVATTNET hand shower with shower hose is significantly slower than most other showers. Yet, you can shower completely adequately with it. Since it can be mounted on any outlet, it can transform almost any shower into a water-saving solution.
It’s great to have the option to adjust the flow rate in the shower
With the BERGVATTNET function booster, you can turn an ordinary showerhead into a water-saving solution by reducing the flow rate to 6 liters per minute. And best of all: when you need to increase the flow rate, just press the button.
For a bathroom that cannot be overlooked
More economical water management doesn't have to be complicated or boring. The BERGVATTNET collection, which includes various items from towels to showerheads, features a bright blue color and playful patterns, making the bathroom look playful.
