Casio Module 372 753 User's Guide
Important Information
Battery
The battery in your new watch is installed at the factory and needs replacement when its power runs low (e.g., backlight does not illuminate, display is dim). Contact your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor for replacement.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Refer to the table below for correct operation of your watch.
Rating | Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving (with Helium-Oxygen Mix) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for relevant sections:
- I: Watch is not water resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
- III: Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
- IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- V: This watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixture).
Note for watches with leather straps: Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity that may expose the strap to water.
Care of Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket that provides water and dust resistance should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between the strap and your wrist.
- Clean the watch and strap with a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of water and neutral detergent. Never use volatile solvents (e.g., benzine, thinner, spray cleaners).
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with benzine, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions with these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
- For watches with plastic straps: You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of the plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
- For watches with fluorescent cases and straps: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually. Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can cause the fluorescent paint to transfer to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch, nor does it accept any claims from third parties.
