Start the engine and have a partner press the gas pedal; if voltage increases with RPM, it's the correct wire.
External Components
RF Antenna / LED / Programming Port
The long-range antenna kit plugs into a 6-pin connector on the Prestige module. Mount the antenna/receiver to a clear spot on the vehicle's windshield, high near the rear-view mirror, ensuring it does not block driver's vision or interfere with airbag deployment. Avoid mounting on metallic window film as it affects system range. Route the cable to the module.
Data Bus Interface (DBI) Port
The 4-pin Data Bus Interface enables connection to the vehicle data bus for door lock or transponder interfaces. It saves installation time by allowing access to many features through the data bus. Refer to the D2D (Data to Data) function list available at www.FlashLogic.com.
Telematics Interface / Weblink Programming Port
The 4-pin Telematics port enables interfaces like CarLink for system control via smartphone or tablet. Features like Door Lock Control, Remote Start, Trunk Release, Auxiliary Output, and Sliding Doors may be activated. This port also connects to FlashLogic Weblink for feature programming and software updates. Visit www.flashlogic.com.

System Programming & Diagnostics
Data Port Protocol Selection
The default data port protocol is ADS (iDatalink 2-Way). The system can detect ADS or DBI protocols and configure Feature Bank 2, Feature 18 accordingly. To initialize detection:
- Press and hold the valet button.
- Cycle the vehicle's Ignition ON/OFF two (2) times.
- Release the valet button.
Note: This feature requires module firmware v2.00 or higher.
Tach Function
When using the GREEN/ORANGE tach wire, the vehicle tach rate must be programmed.
Programming with valet button (tach wire connected):
- Turn ignition key to ON.
- Press and release valet button three (3) times.
- Immediately turn ignition key OFF.
- Press and hold valet button, then start the vehicle with the key.
- Parking lights flash when the unit senses the tach signal.
- Allow the vehicle to settle to a normal idle speed.
- Release the valet button.
Parking lights turn on for two (2) seconds and one (1) long chirp indicate the learned tach signal is stored.
Programming without valet button (tach wire connected):
- Turn ignition key to ON and start the engine.
- Wait for engine RPM to lower to a normal idle.
- Press and hold the vehicle's brake pedal.
- Press the LOCK button on the OEM remote or the Carlink App.
Parking lights flash seven (7) times if the tach signal is learned. If not, locate another tach source and repeat steps 1-4.
Note: Tach signal programming via OEM or Telematics control requires firmware v1.47 or higher.
Valet Alarm Override (Optional)
Disables the alarm when the remote is unavailable or inoperative. If a vehicle door is opened without disarming, the alarm sounds, and the vehicle will not start with the key.
To disable the alarm:
- Turn the vehicle ignition to ON.
- Within five (5) seconds, press and release the valet button on the antenna once (1) time.
The alarm will silence, and the vehicle will start normally.
Silent Lock and Unlock (Security/Keyless Mode Only)
Program the system to Lock and Unlock without notification beeps.
- Turn the ignition ON then OFF.
- Press and release the valet button three (3) times. The system responds with one (1) beep for ON or two (2) beeps for OFF.
User Selectable LED
Controls whether the LED is ON or OFF when the system is Locked, selectable on-the-fly without entering programming banks.
- Turn the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
- Press and hold valet button for five (5) seconds.
The system responds with one (1) flash for ON or two (2) flashes for OFF.
Troubleshooting Remote Start
Prestige remote start systems provide parking light feedback for remote start errors or shutdowns. The vehicle parking lights flash to display error or shutdown codes:
- 1: Runtime Expired
- 2: Remote Shutdown
- 3: Brake On
- 4: Manual Mode
- 5: Hood Open
- 6: Low / No Tach
- 7: Tach Programming
- 8: High Tach
