Battery: 7.4V/500MAH. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge.

For long periods of non-use, please charge the battery at intervals of 3 months to prevent natural degradation.

Tips: Long press the Power On/Off button (?) to turn off the printer, or it will automatically shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity.

How to Install the Labels

Please use official MakeID labels to avoid damaging the printer or causing poor print quality.

Step 1: When using a new roll of label, pull the transparent label lead all the way to the paper exit.

Step 2: Close the top cover. Then, edit and print your label using the APP. (If the label is improperly installed, the indicator light will turn red.)

Connecting Your Phone to the Printer

The "MakeID-Life" APP is required to use the printer. Connect the printer through the APP, not through your phone's system Bluetooth settings.

Step 1: Open the APP, search for and connect to the printer. Remember to grant Bluetooth permission.

Step 2: For first-time users, select the printer type.

Step 3: Click the icon in the top right corner of the APP to search for the device, and then click to connect.

How to Print Labels

There are two types of labels:

Illustrations comparing continuous and discontinuous label tape. Continuous label has no length limit. Discontinuous label has fixed length with gaps between labels. Available sizes are 12x35mm and 12x50mm.

Printing Discontinuous Labels

  1. On the APP home page, create a new label and choose "Discontinuous Label".
  2. Select the label size (e.g., 12x35mm or 12x50mm). Tip: Selecting the wrong size may result in printing misalignment.
  3. Click "A" to edit the text.
  4. Click the "Print" icon, and choose the number of labels to print.

Since the first discontinuous label identifies the label position, it may not print completely. It is recommended to print 2 or 3 labels for the first print. The printing effect should be good from the second label onwards. The label position will be re-identified when the discontinuous label is replaced or the printer cover is opened.

Printing Continuous Labels

  1. On the APP home page, create a new label and choose "Continuous Label".
  2. Click "A" to edit the text, and "" to change the font.
  3. Click "" to add icons.
  4. Click "Print" to print. Press the Cutter button (✂️) to cut off the label.

How to Use the Label

Step 1: Remove the back paper from the label.

Step 2: Stick the label onto any dry and smooth object.

Usage Notice of Thermal Materials

Thermal inkless printing is a special technology. Incorrect use can cause fading.

For best results, apply labels in a dry, smooth, room-temperature environment that is not frequently touched.

Common Troubleshooting

1. Unable to connect to the printer with the phone

2. The printer's red indicator light flashes
