Installation Procedure
- Turn OFF gas and electric power.
- Open cabinet and mark and disconnect wires from the amplifier being replaced. Remove the amplifier.
- Install the replacement amplifier and secure using supplied screws.
- Reconnect wires to the replacement amplifier as follows:
- For units with amplifier PN 260863 or 260864, wire connections do not change. Note: The blue wire and the terminals in the kit are not used.
- Reconnect wires as marked.
- If installing amplifier PN 260863 on unit with option AG7, remove R55 resistor between T5 and T7.
- For units with amplifier PN 48035, 48036, 48037, or 48038, refer to instructions in Table 2.
- For units with amplifier PN 260863 or 260864, wire connections do not change. Note: The blue wire and the terminals in the kit are not used.
- Close cabinet.
- Turn ON electric power and gas.
- Check for proper operation.

Figure 2: Replacement Amplifier Wiring Diagrams Description
The following describes the wiring connections shown in Figure 2, distinguishing between original and replacement amplifiers for each option.
Detail A: Wiring for Option AG7
Original Amplifier (Models A1010B P/N 48035, A1011B P/N 48036): Depicts terminal connections (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T7, T8, T9, T10, T11) with associated wires (BL, BK, BR, W, G, PR, R). Includes a "TEMPERATURE SETTING DIAL" indicator.
Replacement Amplifier (Model A1010U P/N 260863): Shows similar terminal layout. Key instructions:
- A new blue wire from the kit is used.
- When replacing models 48035 or 48036, connect this new blue wire to terminal T10.
- Connect the other end of this new blue wire to the same terminal block where the blue wire from T9 is connected.
- Important: Remove the R55 resistor located between terminals T5 and T7.
Detail B: Wiring for Option AG8
Original Amplifier (Models A1010F P/N 48037, A1011F P/N 48038): Depicts terminal connections (T1, T2, T3, T4, T9, T10, T11, T14) with associated wires (BL, R, BK, BR, W, PR). Includes a "TEMPERATURE SETTING DIAL" indicator.
Replacement Amplifier (Model AD1010U P/N 260864): Shows similar terminal layout. Key instructions:
- A new blue wire from the kit is used.
- When replacing models 48037 or 48038, connect this new blue wire to terminal T10.
- Connect the other end of this new blue wire to the same terminal block where the blue wire from T9 is connected.
- Note for specific models: If two orange wires were connected to T3 on the original amplifier, cut and splice these wires before connecting them to the new amplifier. A twist-on wire connector is supplied in the field.
Detail C: Wiring for Option AG9(H)
Original Amplifier (Models A1010B P/N 48035, A1011B P/N 48036): Depicts terminal connections identical to the AG7 original amplifier.
Replacement Amplifier (Model A1010U P/N 260863): Depicts terminal connections identical to the AG7 replacement amplifier. Key instructions:
- A new blue wire from the kit is used.
- When replacing models 48035 or 48036, connect this new blue wire to terminal T10.
- Connect the other end of this new blue wire to the same terminal block where the blue wire from T9 is connected.
- Note for specific models: If two orange wires were connected to T3 on the original amplifier, cut and splice these wires before connecting them to the new amplifier. A twist-on wire connector is supplied in the field.
Final Steps
- Close cabinet.
- Turn ON electric power and gas.
- Check for proper operation.
