Estimated Assembly Time: 30 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Measuring tape, drill with a 3/32 in. bit, and pencil.
Bracket Location and Installation
The shade can be installed either inside or outside the window frame. A mounting bracket should be positioned on each end of the headrail. For wider shades requiring three or more brackets, space them evenly between the two outermost brackets. Always position brackets to avoid interference with internal cords and mechanisms within the headrail.
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Measure and Mount Brackets
For Outside Mounting:
Lay the closed shade on a flat surface. Measure 7 inches (approx. 17.78 cm) from the left side of the headrail (A) and mark with a pencil. Measure 7 inches (approx. 17.78 cm) from the right side and mark. These marks indicate the locations for your mounting brackets (AA). Adjust marks as needed to ensure brackets do not interfere with the headrail's working mechanisms.
Note for Wider Shades: Shades over 50 inches (approx. 127 cm) will require a center bracket. For these shades, measure the distance between the left and right pencil marks and place a pencil mark at the center. Adjust the position as needed so the mounting bracket (AA) does not interfere with the headrail's working mechanisms.
Clip the mounting brackets (AA) onto the headrail of the shade (A). Hold the shade (A) level at the desired height and center it over the window opening. Mark the exact location of each mounting bracket (AA) with a pencil. Remove the mounting brackets (AA) from the headrail. Pre-drill the screw holes and then attach the mounting brackets (AA) to the wall or window molding using wood screws (CC).
For Inside Mounting:
Clip the mounting brackets (AA) onto the headrail of the shade (A). Hold the shade (A) in place and make a pencil mark at the rear of each mounting bracket (AA). Remove the mounting brackets (AA) from the headrail. Pre-drill the screw holes and then secure the mounting bracket (AA) to the wall or window molding with wood screws (CC).
Step 2: Attach Headrail
Lift the blind (A) headrail into position. The inner front edge of the headrail should slide into the slot at the front of each mounting bracket (AA). Push the headrail upward until the flexible tab at the bottom of each mounting bracket (AA) snaps onto the back of the headrail. Check carefully to ensure the headrail is properly snapped into place.
Step 3: Attach Handles
Attach the handles (BB) to the center of the bottom rail and middle rail of the shade (A). Ensure the handles (BB) are properly snapped into place.
Step 4: Optional - Remove Shade
To remove the shade (A) from the mounting brackets (AA) after installation, lift up the bottom of the shade (A) to gain access to the flexible tab on the bottom of the mounting brackets (AA). Use a screwdriver (not included) to press in the flexible tab until the shade loosens. Repeat for all mounting brackets (AA).
Operating Instructions
Raising or Lowering the Shade
Grip the bottom rail handle (BB) and lift or lower the bottom rail to the desired height.
Adjusting Top Portion for Light and Privacy
The shade (A) can be lowered up to 30% from the top to allow light while maintaining privacy. Grip the middle rail handle (BB) and lift or lower the middle rail to the desired height.
Care and Maintenance
The vinyl headrail and bottom rail can be wiped clean with a damp sponge.
To clean the shade fabric, use a feather duster or lightly vacuum using the soft brush attachment.
