Preparation

Before beginning assembly, ensure all parts are present. Compare parts with the package contents list and hardware contents list. Do not attempt to assemble, install, or operate the product if any part is missing or damaged.

Estimated Assembly Time: 30 minutes

Tools Required (not included): Measuring tape, drill with 3/32 in. bit, pencil.

Helpful Tools (not included): Step stool.

Bracket Location and Installation

The shade can be installed inside or outside the window frame. A mounting bracket (AA) should be positioned on each end of the headrail. For wider shades requiring 3 or more brackets, space them evenly between the two outermost brackets. Ensure brackets do not interfere with cords or mechanisms inside the headrail for proper placement.

Outside Mounting (1a)

1. Clip mounting bracket (AA) onto the headrail of shade (A).
2. Hold shade (A) level and centered over the window opening.
3. Mark the exact location for each mounting bracket (AA) with a pencil.
4. Remove mounting brackets (AA) from the headrail.
5. Predrill screw holes and secure the mounting bracket (AA) to the wall or window molding using wood screws (CC).

Inside Mounting (1b)

1. Clip mounting brackets (AA) onto the headrail of shade (A).
2. Hold shade (A) in place and mark the rear of each mounting bracket (AA) with a pencil.
3. Remove mounting brackets (AA) from the headrail.
4. Align brackets with marks, predrill screw holes, and secure the mounting bracket (AA) to the wall or window molding using wood screws (CC).

Securing the Shade (2)

1. Lift the headrail of shade (A) so the inner front edge slides into the slot at the front of each mounting bracket (AA).
2. Push the headrail upward until the flexible tab at the bottom of each mounting bracket (AA) snaps onto the back of the headrail. Ensure each bracket is properly secured.

Attaching the Handle (3)

1. Attach handle (BB) to the center of the bottom rail of shade (A). Ensure it is properly snapped into place.

Removing the Shade (Optional) (4)

1. To remove the shade (A) from the mounting brackets (AA), lift the bottom of the shade (A) to access the flexible tab on the bottom of the mounting brackets (AA).
2. Use a screwdriver (not included) to press the flexible tab until the shade loosens. Repeat for all mounting brackets (AA).

Shorten Width of Blind

This shade can be trimmed up to 2 inches on each end for a total of up to 4 inches. Shades 53.48 cm wide can be trimmed up to 1 inch on each end for a total of up to 2 inches.

1. Remove shade (A) from the box. Measure the installation site width at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement as the required width for the shade (A). IMPORTANT: Double-check measurements before cutting. Cut shades are not eligible for warranty returns.
2. Measure the actual width of the shade (A) and subtract the measurement from step 1. This is the total amount to be trimmed. If the total trim is 1/2 inch or less, trim only one end. If the total trim is more than 1/2 inch, divide the amount by two and trim from each end. Mark the desired cutting width on the headrail with a pencil. Example: 35.5 inches (actual blind width) - 33 inches (window opening) = 2.5 inches total trim. 2.5 inches / 2 = 1.25 inches to trim from each end.
3. Align the saw blade with the desired cutting mark on the shade (A).
4. Using a 10-inch sliding miter saw, 12-inch miter saw, or radial arm saw (not included), lay shade (A) on the saw. Cut through the shade (A) and repeat if cutting both ends. IMPORTANT: Always follow safety guidelines included with power tools.

Proceed to ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS on page 4 to complete installation.

Care and Maintenance

The vinyl headrail and bottom rail can be wiped clean with a damp sponge. To clean the shade fabric, use a feather duster or vacuum lightly using the soft brush attachment.

Warranty

For one (1) year from the date of purchase, the manufacturer will replace this window covering with one of equal or superior value if it is found to be defective in material or workmanship. To obtain warranty service, contact customer service at 866-439-9800. This warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by improper maintenance, negligent or improper use, abuse, misuse, neglect, accidents, acts of God, alteration, commercial use, installation, removal, or reinstallation. This warranty is restricted to normal consumer use within the United States and Canada.

The manufacturer is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
