IKEA SVALNÄS Wall-Mounted Desk

Assembly Steps
Follow the numbered steps below for assembly. Refer to the diagrams for visual guidance.
- Prepare Wall Uprights: Attach brackets to the wall uprights using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Determine Placement: Measure and mark the desired height for the shelf on the wall. Use a level to ensure the uprights are vertical.
- Install Wall Uprights: Secure the wall uprights to the wall using appropriate wall fixings (not included). Ensure they are level and at the correct distance apart (836mm or 636mm depending on configuration).
- Attach Shelf: Slide the shelf onto the brackets. Secure the shelf to the brackets using the provided screws.
- Install Support Rod: Insert the support rod into the designated holes on the brackets to provide additional stability.
- Final Check: Ensure all screws are tightened and the unit is stable.
Diagrams: The document includes detailed diagrams illustrating each step of the assembly process. These diagrams show the placement of parts, the use of tools, and the correct orientation of components.
Dimensions: The shelf can be mounted at different heights. The diagrams indicate measurements for placement, such as 81 cm (31 7/8"), 61 cm (24"), 836 mm (32 15/16"), 636 mm (25 1/16"), 300 mm (11 3/4"), 680mm - 760mm (26 3/4"-30"), and 811 mm (31 15/16").
Tools Required (not included): Screwdriver, pencil, spirit level, ruler.
