IKEA SVALNÄS Wall-Mounted Cabinet Assembly Instructions

Assembly Steps
- Prepare the Wall: Determine the desired placement for your SVALNÄS unit. Use a spirit level and measuring tape to mark the positions for the wall uprights. Ensure the markings are level.
- Install Wall Uprights: Attach the wall uprights to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs for your wall type (not included). The diagram shows two possible configurations for the uprights, spaced 836 mm (32 15/16") or 636 mm (25 1/16") apart. Follow the detailed diagrams for precise placement.
- Assemble the Cabinet Box:
- Attach the side panels to the base panel using dowels and cam locks.
- Insert cam bolts into the side panels and secure them with cam locks.
- Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side and base panels.
- Attach the top panel using dowels and cam locks.
- Mount the Cabinet:
- Place the assembled cabinet onto the wall uprights.
- Secure the cabinet to the uprights using the provided brackets and screws. Ensure the cabinet is level.
- Install Shelves:
- Insert shelf supports into the desired holes on the wall uprights.
- Place the shelves onto the shelf supports.
- Attach Sliding Doors:
- Insert the sliding doors into the top and bottom tracks of the cabinet.
- Ensure the doors slide smoothly.
Refer to the detailed diagrams for each step to ensure correct assembly.
Care and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a clean cloth. Check regularly that all assembly fastenings are properly tightened.
Product Dimensions
The SVALNÄS system offers flexibility in configuration. The cabinet shown in the diagrams has dimensions that can be adjusted based on the spacing of the wall uprights.
