HUION Keydial mini User Manual and Setup Guide
Product Overview
This document is the user manual for the HUION Keydial mini, a one-handed shortcut keyboard designed to complement pen tablets, pen displays, and other drawing products. It supports Bluetooth connection and is engineered for flexible, single-handed operation.

Connection
The Keydial mini can be connected to a computer or mobile device via USB-C cable or Bluetooth.
Wired Connection
- Take out the USB cable from the package and connect the Keydial mini to your computer.
- Download the Keydial Driver from the official HUION website.
- Open the driver interface. A picture of the Keydial mini will appear, indicating a successful connection. You can now use the keyboard.
Bluetooth Connection

- Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device.
- Download the Driver-Keydial mini software from the official HUION website or download the HuionKeydial APP for your mobile device.
- Press the Power button ⚡ on your Keydial mini to start it. If no Bluetooth connection request is detected within 3 minutes, the device will automatically shut down.
- Find and connect to the Bluetooth device named "Keydial mini-xxx" on your computer or mobile device according to system prompts.
Note: Press key functions can be customized in the HuionKeydial APP. Refer to the HuionKeydial User Manual for tutorials.
If you cannot find the Bluetooth connection, try the following method to force pairing:
- Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device.
- Press the Power button ⚡ on your Keydial mini to start it.
- Simultaneously, press and hold the Forced Bluetooth Pairing key on the Keydial mini for 3 seconds until the status light flashes, indicating it has entered Forced Pairing mode.
- Find and connect to the Bluetooth device "Keydial mini-xxx" on your computer or mobile device according to system prompts.
Driver Installation
Windows
How to Install the Driver on Windows Device
Notice:
- Before installing the driver, please close all graphic software and antivirus programs. A note like "HuionTabletCore.exe failed to launch!" may appear if the driver is blocked by antivirus or drawing applications.
- Ensure your computer operating system is Windows 7 or later.
- After opening the driver, a picture of the Keydial mini will appear, indicating successful connection. You can now use your keyboard.
- If the connection fails, please restart the driver or your computer.
Note: The keyboard will not function if the driver is uninstalled or deleted. In such cases, reinstall the driver via the Driver-Keydial mini link to restore default settings.
Driver Installation Steps:
- Connect the Keydial mini to your computer.
- Choose the correct driver for your device from the website: Driver-Keydial mini.
- Click Driver-Keydial mini to download it.
- Double-click the downloaded driver file and click "OK" to proceed.

Follow the on-screen prompts, including agreeing to the User Agreement and clicking "Install Now". After installation, click "Try it now". A picture of the Keydial mini will appear on the driver interface, confirming a successful connection.
macOS
How to Install the Driver on Mac Device
Notice:
- Please ensure your computer operating system is macOS 10.12 or later.
- Open the driver; a picture of the Keydial mini will appear, indicating successful connection. You can now use your keyboard.
- If the connection fails, please restart the driver or your computer. For more information, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Note: The keyboard will not function if the driver is uninstalled or deleted. In such cases, reinstall the driver via the Driver-Keydial mini link to restore default settings.
Driver Installation Steps:
- Connect the keyboard to your computer.
- Choose the correct driver for your device from the website: Driver-Keydial mini.
- Click Driver-Keydial mini to download it.
- Unzip the driver file and drag the HuionTablet driver application into the "Applications" folder.

- Open the "Applications" folder and double-click the HuionTablet driver application.
- Connect the pen display to your Mac. When prompted, click "Open System Preferences". Navigate to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility settings. Click the lock icon ? to unlock the settings, tick the checkbox next to the HuionTablet driver application to enable accessibility, and then click the lock icon ? again to save changes.

Driver Interface Overview

The driver interface provides access to various settings:
1. Keydial
This is the keyboard function setting interface where users can customize key functions, Dial functions, sensitivity, and other features.
See Keys Function Setting and Dial Setting sections.
2. Store
The HUION Store is a section where you can find the latest product information, FAQs, sales promotions, and purchase other HUION products or accessories.
3. Add Programs
This feature allows you to assign specific functions to keys for different applications.
- Programs that have been opened recently will appear for selection after clicking "Add a Program". For more options, click "Browser" to locate and add the desired program.
- You can set different functions for different programs. The press key functions will automatically change when you switch between programs.
When "All programs" is selected, the set key functions apply universally. By adding specific programs, you can create unique settings for them, which the driver will automatically recognize and apply when you launch that program.
4. Setting
This interface allows users to manage driver settings, including checking device information, backup settings, general settings, and driver version.
See General Setting section.
Keydial Setting

1. Brightness of LED
Adjust the brightness of the LED light from level 1 (darkest) to level 5 (brightest).
2. Dial Function Setting
Select the function for the Dial from the drop-down box: "Custom Function", "RaDial", or "Off".
- Selecting "Custom Function" or "RaDial" allows you to set specific Dial functions.
- When "None" is selected, the Dial will have no function and will not execute any command while rotating.
3. Dial Sensitivity
In "Custom Function" mode, adjust the sensitivity of the Dial from level 1 (slowest) to level 5 (fastest).
4. Sleep Time
By default, the device enters sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. You can set the sleep time to 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hr., or 1.5 hr. according to your usage habits.
5. Restore Defaults
Click this button to restore all default settings, including LED brightness, Dial function, Dial sensitivity, sleep time, and key function settings.
6. Keys Function Setting
You can customize the functions and names of the press keys according to your preferences.
Keys:
- Place the cursor on a key to display its current function.
- Click a key to select its functional property and customize its function.

Note: Driver functions may vary with system and driver version. Refer to the actual version. This table is subject to change without notice.
Key Type | Function Description |
---|---|
Keyboard Key | Click on the input box above and enter a valid key combination to create a shortcut. |
Mouse Key | The key can be set with the function of left/right/middle button, left button double-click, and wheel. Mouse function and Modifier key can be used together. |
Run Program | Click Browse and select the program you want to run quickly. After that, press the key to launch the item. |
System Application | You can apply these functions to press keys: Lock the Screen, Sleep, Power, Off, Show/Hide Desktop, Task View, Start Menu, and Calculator. |
Multimedia | You can apply these functions to press keys: Previous Song, Next Song, Play/Pause, Volume up, Volume down, and Muted. |
Settings Preview | The key can be set with the function of settings preview. |
Quick Menu | Activate the Quick Menu. Detailed information is provided below. |
None | When "None" is selected, the keys will not work. |

Quick Menu Customization
Click "Customize" in the driver interface to call up a quick menu (see Picture 1). For each of the six buttons on the left, you can enter a name and set a unique function. After setup, pressing the key will call up the Quick Menu (see Picture 2). The menu disappears after clicking one of its buttons. Clicking "Fix" will anchor the menu to the desktop; clicking it again changes it to "Close" and dismisses the menu (see Picture 3). You can drag the menu by its title bar.

Dial Setting
You can use the Dial alone or in conjunction with the Windows Radial module.
- Set the Dial function within the HuionTablet driver or navigate to Windows Settings > Device > Wheel to customize its behavior.
You can press the Dial to switch among three customized functions. A long press of the Dial allows you to switch among tools in the Windows Radial menu. A short press confirms the selected tool.
Click the drop-down box for "Dial Function" to choose from three options: "Custom Function", "Radial", and "None".
Custom Function
- Open the driver interface and click "Dial Function".
- Select "Customize the Feature".
- Click the Dial on the Keydial mini picture in the driver interface.
- Select the desired function for the Dial.

Rotate the knob clockwise/counterclockwise to use the Dial with the selected function.
Please refer to the table below for specific functional properties:
Function Type | Description |
---|---|
Default | The default functions are "Zoom in/out", "Adjust Brush Size", and "Scroll Up/Down". |
Multimedia | You can turn the dial controller to play the previous song or next song. |
Customize | Click on the input box (Clockwise/Anticlockwise) and enter a valid key combination to create shortcuts. |
None | Selecting "None" means the dial controller will perform no function when you turn it. |
Radial
- Open the driver interface and click "Dial Function".
- Select "Radial".
- Open Windows Settings > Device > Wheel.
- Select a default tool or a custom tool for the wheel.
Rotate the knob clockwise/counterclockwise to use the Dial.
None
The Dial has no function and will not execute any order while rotating.
Driver Setting
1. Device
Here you can view the firmware version and click to run the device diagnostic tool to troubleshoot device issues.

2. Backup
The driver can import and export your custom settings, which helps to avoid repeated settings when launching a different program.

3. General Setting
Language: Click the drop-down button to select your preferred language.
Color: You can select the color theme of the Driver interface among Dark, Blue, and Light.
Start Menu: Click to enable or disable options such as "Auto-Start", "New Message Alert", "Share diagnostic and usage data", "Low Battery Warning", and "Automatic Updates".
Hotkey: You can set a hotkey to quickly call up the Driver interface.

4. About
Users can check the Driver version here. Click "Check for Updates" to find the latest Driver version and follow the prompts to update if needed.
