Grounding the Switch

This procedure must be completed before powering on the switch.

Required Tools and Equipment:

Grounding Steps:

  1. Verify the switch power is off.
  2. Attach the terminal lug ring of the grounding cable to the switch's ground screw opening using the ground screw.
  3. Attach the other end of the grounding cable's terminal lug ring to an appropriate grounding stud or bolt on the rack.
  4. Verify that connections at the switch's ground connector and the rack are secure.

Plugging in the AC Power Cord

Connect one end of the AC power cord to the switch's power socket and the other end to a grounded and surge-protected electrical outlet.

Power Failure

In case of a power failure, unplug the power cord from the switch as a precaution. After power is restored, plug the cord back in.
