CONNECT THE DEVICE
STEP 1: Download the App
Download the free Energizer Connect app from the App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play Store (for Android phones). The app interface shows options to download for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
STEP 2: Create Account and Connect to WiFi
Make sure your mobile device is connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. Open the app and click "Create Account" by following the on-screen instructions. After initial sign-in, the app remembers your password. You can also manually log out under Settings. A screen shows options to register by email, enter email, and get a verification code. A warning indicates you may need to check your Spam folder for the verification code.
STEP 3: Prepare for Pairing
Plug the power adapter into a power outlet. The light strip should start flashing for pairing mode. The LED Light Strip should start blinking red rapidly (about 4 times per second) for EZ pairing mode.

After logging in, click the ➕ icon on the top right of the screen and select "Add device".
STEP 5: Confirm Pairing Mode
Select the "Lighting" category and confirm that the LED Light Strip is still rapidly blinking. Click "Confirm indicator rapidly blink". A help note suggests switching between pairing modes via troubleshooting page 12. The screen shows options for "Cancel", "Net Pairing Mode", and "Confirm Device is in Pairing Mode". It also provides instructions if the light is NOT blinking rapidly (power on/off 5 times). Pairing mode may timeout after 3 minutes.

INSTALLATION
STEP 1: Determine Placement
Determine where you will install the LED Light Strip. Ensure it is close enough to a power outlet (Power adapter cord is 6 feet and controller cable is 3 feet). Clean the mounting surface with a clean cloth and rubbing alcohol, letting it dry before installation. For best mounting results, place adhesive onto the desired surface with one attempt; reapplying multiple times may not guarantee secure mounting.
STEP 2: Mount the Strip
Peel off the beginning of the adhesive backing and firmly stick the LED Light Strip onto the surface. Peel off more adhesive backing as you mount, pressing on each section for 10 seconds.
OPTIONAL: Use Mounting Clips
Using the included mounting clips and screws, and a Phillips head screwdriver (not included), install the mounting clips over the LED Light Strip in equal intervals.
STEP 3: Power On
Plug the power adapter into a power outlet. If your device was already connected, it will automatically rejoin the network when powered on.
STEP 4: Manual Control
Manually pressing the controller button will cycle the LED Light Strip through colors, preset modes, or turn it off. These settings can also be changed in the app.
See troubleshooting on page 14 for information on cutting the strip.
