Energizer Smart Camera Advanced Features
This guide details the advanced features of the Energizer Smart 5GHz WiFi 1000 Lumens Light Bulb P/T Security Camera, accessible through the Energizer Connect App.
Using the Energizer Connect App
The Energizer Connect App allows you to manage your camera's features. Key screens include the App Home Screen, Device List Screen, and the Main Camera Screen.
App Home Screen: Displays your devices and allows adding new devices or smart scenes.
Device List Screen: Shows your connected cameras and provides an option to turn the LED light on/off.
Main Camera Screen: Offers access to camera settings, audio controls, microphone for communication, and various features like Playback, Gallery, Theme Color, Private Mode, Night Vision, Anti-Flicker, Device Volume, Messages, Direction, Site, Cloud, and Features.
Night Vision
Easily view the camera stream in dark conditions. To control Night Vision:
- Navigate to the main camera screen and open the camera menu.
- Select the Night Vision icon to choose from:
- INFRARED MODE: Uses only infrared night vision.
- COLOR LIGHT MODE: Turns the LED light on when Night Vision is enabled for enhanced visibility.
- SMART MODE: Uses infrared night vision but turns the LED light on when motion is detected.
- Select the Night Vision On/Off icon to control the Infrared LED lights (available in INFRARED or SMART modes):
- ON: Infrared lights are always on.
- OFF: Infrared lights are always off.
- AUTO: Infrared lights turn on automatically when dark and off when light.
Note: Smart Mode functions only when Motion Detection is enabled.
Multi-White LED Light
Operate the built-in, multi-white LED light and set schedules.
To control the LED light:
- Go to the main camera screen, open the camera menu, and navigate to features.
- Select the Light icon () to operate the light:
- TOP SLIDING SCALE: Adjusts the hue from warm white (0%) to cool white (100%).
- BOTTOM SLIDING SCALE: Dims the light intensity from 0-100%.
- SWITCH: Turns the LED light on/off.
- TIMING: Creates a schedule for automatic on/off times and days (light hue cannot be customized).
Note: The LED light can also be turned on/off with a single click using the power button on the main app screen.
Motion Detection & Motion Tracking
Motion Detection alerts you to movements. Motion Tracking allows the camera to automatically pan and tilt to follow movements when enabled.
To activate Motion Detection and Motion Tracking:
- Go to the main camera screen, open the camera menu, and navigate to features.
- Select the "Motion Detection" and "Motion Tracking" icons. (Motion Detection can be enabled without Motion Tracking, but not vice versa).
Customizing Motion Detection Settings:
- Go to the main camera screen, open camera settings, and select "Detection Settings" under Advanced Settings.
- Customizations include:
- ALARM SENSITIVITY LEVEL: Adjusts Motion Detection sensitivity.
- HUMAN BODY FILTERING: Uses machine learning to detect only human figures, reducing false triggers and alerts.
- SOUND DETECTION: Alerts you to sounds detected by the camera. Can also be activated via the "Sound Detection" icon in the features view.
- ALARM SENSITIVITY LEVEL (SOUND): Adjusts Sound Detection sensitivity (only when Sound Detection is on).
- SCHEDULE: Create custom schedules to turn Motion Detection and Sound Detection on/off.
- SIREN TRIGGER: Activates a siren deterrent when motion is detected (requires Motion Detection to be active).
One-Way & Two-Way Audio
One-Way Audio: Listen to camera audio or speak through the microphone, but not simultaneously.
Two-Way Audio: Listen and speak at the same time for conversations.
To choose One-Way or Two-Way Audio:
- Go to the main camera screen, open camera settings.
- Select "Basic Function Settings" (under Basic Settings).
- Select "Talk Mode" to switch between "One-Way Communication" and "Two-Way Talk".
Controlling the Camera Speaker and Microphone:
- The speaker icon on the top right controls camera audio.
- Adjust volume using the “Device Volume” icon () in the features view.
- The microphone icon (One-Way Audio) or phone icon (Two-Way Audio) allows you to speak to anyone on camera.
- One-Way Audio: Press and hold the microphone icon to temporarily mute your camera audio and speak.
- Two-Way Audio: Select the phone icon to speak while still hearing camera audio.
Site Saving & Preset Points
Save specific camera views for easier monitoring.
How to save sites:
- Manually move the camera to your desired view and verify on the Energizer Connect App.
- Open the camera menu, select the Site icon, and then "Add Site" to name and save the view.
- Clicking a saved site automatically moves the camera to that location.
How to set Preset Points:
- Go to the main camera screen, open camera settings.
- Select "Preset Point" (under Advanced Settings) to save up to four camera views.
- You can manually move the camera or use on-screen navigation buttons.
Saved views can be used in camera automations.
Patrol Your Space
Set a timer to automatically pan the camera around your space using Patrol mode.
How to activate Patrol mode:
- Go to the main camera screen, open the camera menu, and navigate to features.
- Select the "Patrol" icon () to open Patrol mode. Ensure "Enable Patrol" is toggled on.
- Select "Cruise Plan" to specify a patrol time and select "Add" to create a new patrol time.
You will be prompted to input the time, day(s), a tag/name, and "cruise point standing time" (seconds at each viewpoint). Click "Save" to add the patrol time. Multiple patrol times can be added and toggled on/off.
Note: The camera may begin patrolling 30 seconds after the set time.
Create a Smart Scene
Create customized automations, known as "Smart Scenes," for convenient camera operation.
How to create a new Smart Scene:
- Go to the Energizer Connect App home screen and click the '+' sign to add a new scene.
- Create scenes based on:
- TAP-TO-RUN: Create a shortcut for a series of camera functions with a single tap (e.g., turn on camera, LED light, and enable Motion Detection simultaneously).
- WEATHER CHANGES: Automate camera functions based on weather conditions (e.g., turn off camera if temperature is too high).
- FIXED TIME: Automate camera functions at specific times and days.
- DEVICE STATUS CHANGES: Automate camera functions based on the status of other camera functions (e.g., trigger Sound Detection when Motion Tracking is activated).
