Pair the Smart Outdoor Plug
Step 1: Download the Energizer Connect App
Download the Energizer Connect app from the App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play Store (for Android phones). Before opening the app, ensure your phone is connected to the WiFi network where the Smart Outdoor Plug will be placed.

Step 2: Create an Account
Open the app and create an account by following the on-screen instructions. The app interface shows fields for Phone/Email and Password, with a "Next" button.
Step 3: Plug In and Check Indicator
Plug the Smart Outdoor Plug into a wall outlet. Note: The Smart Outdoor Plug is not suitable for appliances or machinery requiring more than 15 amps per outlet. Check the device's electrical requirements before plugging in.
Important Mounting Notes: To maintain raintight rating, the Smart Outdoor Plug must be mounted with the outlets facing down and at least 55 inches (1.4m) above ground level. Do not place flat on the ground, submerge in water, or mount with outlets facing up.
Confirm that the indicator light on the plug is rapidly blinking (about 4 times per second) for EZ pairing mode. If it is not, press and hold the power/reset button [Power/Reset Button] for 5-10 seconds to enter pairing mode.
Pairing Modes: EZ mode: Indicator light rapidly blinking (approx. 4 times/sec) for easy setup. AP Mode: Indicator light slowly blinking (approx. 2 times/sec) for a secondary setup process requiring more steps.
Step 4: Add Device
After logging in, tap the "+" icon [Add Icon] in the top right corner of the screen and select "Add Device".
Step 5: Select Plug Type
Select "Plug" from the list of device types. The Energizer Connect app shows options like Color Bulb, Doorbell, Door Sensor, LED Strip, Motion Sensor, Plug, Power Strip, and Water Sensor.
Step 6: Connect to Wi-Fi
Confirm that the displayed WiFi network is your 2.4GHz network. Enter your WiFi password and tap "Confirm". Note: Energizer Connect devices only work on a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
Step 7: Finish Device Setup
Your Smart Outdoor Plug will connect to the network. Confirm the settings for your device and then tap "Finish Device Setup". The app shows a "Connecting Now" progress indicator.
Integrate with Voice Assistants
To enable voice access, link the Energizer Connect skill with your chosen voice assistant.
Voice Activation for Alexa
- Ensure your Alexa device is installed and set up.
- Open your Alexa app.
- Open the menu, search for "Skills & Games", and select "Energizer Connect".
- Authorize your account using the username and password from your Energizer Connect app.
- Use the name assigned to your plug to control it, e.g., "Alexa, turn on outdoor plug".
Voice Activation for Google Assistant
- Ensure your Google Assistant device is installed and set up.
- Open your Google Home app.
- Tap "+" [Add Icon] to add a new device, then select "Set up a device".
- Tap "Have something already set up?" and search for "Energizer Connect".
- Authorize your account using the username and password from your Energizer Connect app.
- Use the name assigned to your plug to control it, e.g., "Ok Google, turn on outdoor plug".
Usage and Troubleshooting
Your Energizer Smart Outdoor Plug is now ready. You can set schedules, timers, and control your plug remotely via the app.

Troubleshooting: To reset or troubleshoot your Smart Outdoor Plug, press and hold the power/reset button [Power/Reset Button] for 5-10 seconds.
