3.7. Connect the Device and Switch It On
- Plug in the power cable 1 into a wall socket.
- Switch the appliance on by turning the on/off switch w to position I. After 1 minute, the appliance has reached the desired temperature.
3.8. Remove Weeds
Place the cone nozzle t near the plant to be removed for 5 to 10 seconds.
→ For taller plants, first heat the upper part of the plant. Place the cone nozzle t near the shriveled plant to be removed for 5 to 10 seconds.
→ Weed removal is most effective at an early stage of the start of vegetation.
→ The most suitable time for weed removal is spring.
→ The treatment is most intensive the younger the plant is. The success of the measure is not immediately visible. With a longer exposure time/treatment, the visible part of the plant can also turn brown.
→ At the recommended exposure time, the plants do not react directly to the heat radiation. Young soft-leaved plants are most sensitive to treatment. They are no longer suitable for life. Older plants with heavy leaves should be treated more often. Let them dry out. Leaf grasses are very robust and require longer treatment.
→ Initially, the treatment of overgrown areas must be repeated several times in the short term in order to achieve lasting success. However, treatments at longer intervals are sufficient.
→ Burning the plants is not mandatory. When heated, the leaves become dry and the weeds die.
→ Repeated treatment of certain weed locations may be necessary.
3.9. Remove Paint or Varnish.
- Heat the surface to loosen the paint or varnish.
- Remove the paint or varnish with a separate spatula.
→ Avoid too long exposure to heat, as burnt paint or varnish is very difficult to remove. Many adhesives can be softened with heat. Then the glue joints can be separated and excess glue removed.
3.10. Loosen Glue
→ Avoid too long exposure to heat, as burnt paint or varnish is very difficult to remove. Many adhesives can be softened with heat. Then the glue joints can be separated and excess glue removed.
3.11. Defrost Water Pipes
→ Do not defrost PVC pipes.
→ Do not defrost gas lines.
→ Do not heat copper pipes above 200°C.
3.12. Loosen Screw Connections
- Heat the screw connection to loosen the screw connection. Wait until the screw connection has cooled down.
- Loosen the screw connection.
