Orbit 94162 Single-Port Digital Hose Faucet Timer

The Orbit 94162 is a single-port digital timer designed for hose faucets, offering automated watering schedules. It supports multiple languages for user interface and instructions.
Installation and Setup
Installing Batteries
1. Slide out the battery tray located on the back of the timer.
2. Insert two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
3. Replace the battery tray.
4. Replace batteries when the [low battery icon] appears.
Note: Dispose of used batteries properly. Remove batteries at the end of the watering season and replace them with new ones at the beginning of the next season.
Connecting the Timer
Attach the timer to an outdoor hose faucet. Turn on the faucet after programming the timer.
Programming the Timer
Rotate the dial to the desired position for setup.
Dial Positions and Functions
- AUTO: The timer waters according to the programmed time, duration, and frequency.
- SET CLOCK: Set the current clock time.
- START TIME: Set the time the watering cycle should begin.
- HOW LONG: Set the watering duration from 1 to 240 minutes using the [+] and [-] buttons.
- HOW OFTEN: Set the watering frequency. Options include every 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days (1 = every day, 2 = every other day, etc.).
- OFF: Turns all stations/functions off.
Setting the Clock
1. Rotate the dial to SET CLOCK.
2. Press the [+] button to advance the clock time. Hold the button for quick advance.
3. Press the [-] button to reverse the clock time. Hold the button for quick reverse.
Setting Start Time
1. Rotate the dial to START TIME.
2. Press the [+] button to advance the start time. Hold the button for quick advance.
3. Press the [-] button to reverse the start time. Hold the button for quick reverse.
Setting Watering Duration
1. Rotate the dial to HOW LONG.
2. Use the [+] and [-] buttons to set the watering duration from 1 to 240 minutes.
Setting Watering Frequency
1. Rotate the dial to HOW OFTEN.
2. Use the [+] and [-] buttons to set the watering frequency (e.g., every 6 hours, 12 hours, or 1-7 days).
Auto Mode
When the dial is set to AUTO, the timer will water according to the programmed time, duration, and frequency.
Rain Delay
While in AUTO mode, press the [+] button to set a rain delay for 24, 48, or 72 hours. The screen will flash between the clock and the remaining hours before the programmed cycle resumes. To cancel the rain delay, turn the dial to OFF and then back to AUTO.
Manual Watering
To water without interrupting the set cycle, press the [MANUAL] button. Use the [+] and [-] buttons to set the duration from 1 to 240 minutes. To stop manual watering, turn the dial to OFF. To resume the programmed cycle, turn the dial back to AUTO.
Troubleshooting
Water does not come on at desired time.
Check if:
- The clock is set to the correct time (including AM/PM).
- The start time is set to the desired time (including AM/PM).
- Rain Delay is active.
Timer does not water.
Check if:
- The timer is set to AUTO.
- The hose faucet is turned on.
- The batteries are low.
- The clock is set to the correct time (including AM/PM).
- Rain Delay is active.
Water won't turn off.
Check if:
- The watering duration is set to the desired time.
