Installation & Setup
Installing the Batteries
To install batteries, remove the tray located on the back of the timer by sliding it outwards. Insert two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included) into the tray and then replace the tray. Batteries should be replaced when the [low battery icon] appears on the display. Note: Used or dead batteries must be removed from the timer and disposed of properly. It is recommended to remove batteries at the end of the watering season and replace them with new ones at the start of the next season.
Attaching the Timer
Attach the timer securely to an outdoor hose faucet. Turn on the water supply after completing the programming. To prevent potential damage from freezing, remove the timer from the hose bib when freezing temperatures are expected.
Programming the Timer
Rotate the dial to the indicated positions to configure the timer settings.
Set Clock
Press the [+] button to advance the current clock time. Hold the button for rapid time advancement. Press the [reverse button] button to reverse the clock time. Hold the button for rapid time reversal.
Start Time
Press the [+] button to advance the desired start time for watering. Hold the button for rapid advancement. Press the [reverse button] button to reverse the start time. Hold the button for rapid reversal.
How Long (Watering Duration)
Set the watering duration using the [+] and [reverse button] buttons. The duration can be set from 1 minute up to 240 minutes.
How Often (Watering Frequency)
Configure the watering frequency. Options include every 6 hours, every 12 hours, or intervals from 1 to 7 days. For example, '1' means watering occurs daily, '2' means every other day, up to '7' for watering once every seven days.
Operating Modes
AUTO Mode: The timer will automatically water according to the programmed start time, duration, and frequency.
Rain Delay: While in AUTO mode, press the [+] button to activate a rain delay for 24, 48, or 72 hours. The screen will alternate between displaying the current time and the remaining hours of the delay. To cancel the rain delay, turn the dial to the [OFF] position and then back to [AUTO].
Manual/Hand Watering: To water manually without disrupting the programmed schedule, press the [MANUAL] button. Then, use the [+] and [reverse button] buttons to set the desired watering duration, from 1 to 240 minutes. To stop manual watering, turn the dial to [OFF]. To resume the automatic programmed cycle, turn the dial back to [AUTO].
Troubleshooting
Issue: Water does not come on at the desired time.
- Verify that the clock is set to the correct time, including AM/PM.
- Ensure the start time is set correctly, including AM/PM.
- Check if the Rain Delay feature is currently active.
Issue: Timer does not water.
- Confirm the timer is set to AUTO mode.
- Ensure the hose faucet is turned on.
- Check if the batteries are low and need replacement.
- Verify that the clock is set to the correct time, including AM/PM.
- Check if the Rain Delay feature is active.
Issue: Water will not turn off.
- Confirm that the watering duration is set to the desired time.
