Thank you for purchasing the Godox GM55 5.5" 4K HDMI Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor. With multiple professional auxiliary functions, this monitor can be used with DSLR cameras and camcorders, suitable for onsite monitoring and recording of photography. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure correct operation and optimal function.

Monitor Overview

The monitor features an HDMI output, a 3.5mm earphone jack, 1/4 sockets, and an HDMI input. The power switch, located on the side, can be long-pressed to power on/off or short-pressed to lock/unlock the touch function.

Buttons and Ports

The monitor has six customizable shortcut buttons (F1-F6), a Menu Button, and a Back Button. Other ports include a camera control port, DC power input (7-24V), an SD card slot, and a DC power output (8V/1.5A) for supplying power to DSLR cameras. It also includes a battery compartment (compatible with F550/F750/F970) and a seri-lock battery switch. A seri-lock camera control port is also present.

Usage Instruction

  1. Select Dial Operation: Press the select dial to enter the main menu. Turn the dial left or right to select parameters and press to confirm. Use the back button to return to the upper menu.
  2. Touch Operation: Double-click the screen to enter the main menu. Click the menu area to set parameters and click the video area to exit the menu.
  3. LUT Operation: The monitor supports SD cards formatted with NTFS or FAT32 file systems and can store up to 25 LUT files.
    • LUT Import:
      • Touch: Click 'Import', the monitor reads .cube files from the SD card. Mark desired files and click the 'Import' icon to load them.
      • Buttons: Navigate to 'LUT Manage > Import'. Press the dial, then turn to select files and press to mark them. Press the back button and then the dial to load marked files.

      Note: The interface displays the quantity of marked files and remaining importable files (e.g., "Import 0/20").

    • LUT Delete:
      • Touch: Click the 'delete' icon to view locally stored LUT files. Mark undesired files and click the delete icon to remove them.
      • Buttons: Navigate to 'LUT Manage > Delete'. Press the dial to display stored files. Mark files according to requirements, then press the back button and select dial to delete.

      Note: The interface displays the quantity of marked files and total files (e.g., "Delete 0/4").

  4. Camera Control:
    • When camera control is active and mapping is off, slide left from the right screen edge to reveal the camera control menu. Clicking the hidden menu in the video area also toggles its visibility.
    • When camera control and mapping are both active, the touch menu is hidden. Camera control functions can be mapped to shortcut buttons (F1: camera control on/off; F2: recording; F3: shooting; F4: auto focus; F5: focusing +1; F6: focusing -1).

    Note: To enable camera control, it is recommended to purchase a compatible camera control cable. Refer to the cable's instruction manual for supported functions and camera models.

  5. Waveform: When enabled, the waveform is displayed on the bottom right. Slide down to hide, slide up to display. Click the waveform display to switch between Y/YUV/RGB graphs.
  6. Menu Introduction: Key menu items include Auxiliary function, Auxiliary composition, LUT, Waveform, Color setting, Shortcut button, and System setting.
