This product is a plug-and-play accessory designed for use with the Godox GM55 touchscreen monitor. By connecting this camera control cable, the GM55 can control camera functions via its control menu or shortcut keys on the device panel. Please read this manual carefully for correct operation and to maximize the product's performance.

Product Interface

The product line includes several models with different camera interfaces:

  • GMC-S1: Features a Multi connector.
  • GMC-U1: Features a Micro USB connector.
  • GMC-U2: Features a Mini USB connector.
  • GMC-U3: Features a USB Type-C connector.

Installation and Connection

Before Installation:

Please select the appropriate camera control cable that matches your camera model.

Camera Control Cable Connection with Monitor:

  1. Remove the rubber plug from the monitor's camera control port and turn it aside.
  2. Connect the camera control cable and the HDMI cable to the camera and monitor respectively.
  3. Align the camera control cable connector with the monitor's camera control port. Insert it by pushing in the direction of the DC interface to lock it. Then, connect the other end of the camera control cable to your camera. If the cable is long, secure it with a cable tie.

POGOPIN Contact Connection:

Ensure proper alignment of POGOPIN contacts (labeled 1 and 2) for a secure connection.

Operation and Usage

This product is plug-and-play. Connect the camera control cable between the monitor and the camera as instructed.

  1. Ensure both the camera and the monitor are powered on and displaying the image.
  2. To access the camera control menu, slide leftwards from the right edge of the monitor screen. If the connection is normal, the menu's background color will brighten, allowing you to operate various functions. Click the video area on the screen to close the menu.
  3. Tip: If the camera control menu does not appear, check if the touch function is enabled or if "Camera Control" is set to "On".
  4. When "Camera Control" and "Camera Mapping" are both set to "On", the touch camera control menu will not be displayed. In this mode, buttons F2-F6 on the monitor serve as shortcut keys for camera control.
  5. When "Camera Mapping" is set to "Off", F2-F6 function as general shortcut keys.

GM55 Camera Control Buttons Description

When "Camera Mapping" is enabled, the F2-F6 buttons on the GM55 monitor can be mapped to specific camera functions:

Additional Notes on Functions:

Note: For monitor upgrades, button function changes, or more detailed guidance, please refer to the GM55 real-time instruction manual.

Disconnection Instructions

To disconnect the camera control cable from the monitor:

  1. Locate the self-lock switch on the back of the monitor. Push the self-lock switch in the direction of arrow 1.
  2. Slide the camera control cable interface in the direction of arrow 2 and then gently take it out.

Warranty Period and Service Support

This document applies to products listed in the "Product Maintenance Information". Other products or accessories (e.g., promotional items, giveaways, additional accessories) are not covered by this warranty.

The warranty period and service types are implemented according to the relevant "Product Maintenance Information". The warranty period starts from the date of the first purchase, as registered on the warranty card.

How to Get Maintenance Service

For maintenance service, contact the product distributor or authorized service institutions directly. You can also call the Godox after-sale service number. When applying for service, provide a valid warranty card. If a valid warranty card cannot be provided, service may be offered if the product is confirmed to be within the maintenance scope, but this is not an obligation.

Inapplicable Cases

The warranty and service do not apply in the following cases:

  • Product or accessory has expired its warranty period.
  • Breakage or damage caused by inappropriate usage, maintenance, or preservation (e.g., improper packing, usage, plugging/unplugging, dropping, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, liquids, or damp environments).
  • Breakage or damage caused by unauthorized installation, repair, alteration, addition, or disassembly.
  • Original identifying information of the product or accessory has been modified, altered, or removed.
  • No valid warranty card.
  • Breakage or damage caused by using illegally authorized, non-standard, or non-public released software.
  • Breakage or damage caused by force majeure or accident.
  • Breakage or damage not attributable to the product itself.

In such cases, seek solutions from the responsible parties; Godox assumes no liability. Damage caused by parts, accessories, or software beyond the warranty period or scope is not covered. Normal wear, discoloration, and consumption are not considered breakage within the maintenance scope.
