TRETAKT Smart Plug

Overview

The TRETAKT smart plug is designed to be controlled via the IKEA Home smart app, utilizing the DIRIGERA hub for seamless integration into your smart home system.

Getting Started

IKEA Home smart App

To control your TRETAKT smart plug, you will need the IKEA Home smart app. Download it from the App Store for Apple devices or Google Play Store for Android devices.

DIRIGERA Hub Setup

Download the IKEA Home smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the smart plug to your IKEA Home smart system. This typically involves connecting the DIRIGERA hub to your home network and then adding devices through the app.

Pairing a Steering Device (Remote)

Smart plugs sold with a remote control are usually pre-paired. To add more smart plugs to an existing steering device, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the smart plug is plugged into a power outlet and the main power is turned on.
2. Hold the steering device close to the smart plug you wish to add, ideally within 5 cm (approximately 2 inches).
3. Press and hold the [pairing button] on the steering device for at least 10 seconds. A red LED on the steering device should illuminate steadily. The smart plug's white light will dim and flash once, indicating successful pairing.

You can pair up to 10 smart plugs with a single steering device. It is recommended to pair devices one at a time. If multiple smart plugs are nearby, disconnect those that have already been paired from the wall outlet.

Device Operation

Turning On/Off

Use the On/Off button located on the smart plug itself. Press once to turn the device on, and press again to turn it off.

Using a Remote

If your smart plug came with a remote, use the On button (represented as |) to turn the smart plug on, and the Off button (represented as 0) to turn it off.

Factory Reset

To reset your smart plug to its factory default settings, push the reset button located on the top of the plug using a pointed object (like a paperclip). Hold it for at least 5 seconds until the LED indicator starts pulsating.

Important Information and Warnings

Usage Conditions

• The smart plug is designed for indoor use only.
• It can be used in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F).
• Do not leave the smart plug in direct sunlight or near any heat source, as this may cause overheating.
• Avoid using the smart plug in wet, moist, or excessively dusty environments, as this may lead to damage.
• Ensure the smart plug is used only in dry areas.

Wireless Range

The wireless range between the steering device and the smart plug is measured in open air. Factors such as different building materials and the placement of the units can affect the actual wireless connectivity range.

Safety Warnings

• Do not connect devices sequentially.
• Do not cover the smart plug when it is in use.
• To disconnect power, always pull the plug from the outlet.
• Do not overload the product.
• Discard the product if it is damaged.
• This product is for adult use only. It is not a toy and is not intended for use by children.

Care Instructions

To clean the Smart Plug, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as this can damage the product.
