Pairing a Steering Device to Your Smart Plug

If your smart plug was sold with a remote (steering device) in the same package, they are already paired. To add more smart plugs, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the smart plug is plugged into a power outlet and the main power is turned on.
2. Hold the steering device close to the smart plug you wish to add (within 5 cm / 2 inches).
3. Press and hold the pairing button on the steering device for at least 10 seconds. A red LED on the steering device will shine steadily. The white light on your smart plug will dim and flash once, indicating successful pairing.

Operating Your TRETAKT Smart Plug

Using the Smart Plug Button: Press the On/Off button on the smart plug once to turn it on. Press it again to turn it off.

Using a Remote (RODRET Steering Device): Press the On button (represented by |) to turn the smart plug on. Press the Off button (represented by o) to turn the smart plug off.

RODRET Dimming Function: When using the RODRET steering device, a short press of the pairing button turns the device on or off. A long press increases or decreases brightness.

Getting Started with the DIRIGERA Hub and IKEA Home smart App

To control your TRETAKT smart plug with the DIRIGERA hub, download the IKEA Home smart app from the App Store (for Apple devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to add your smart plug to your IKEA Home smart system.

Good to Know: Without the DIRIGERA hub, you can connect a maximum of 10 smart products to a single dimmer/switch. Add products one at a time. If products are close together, disconnect already connected ones before adding a new one.

Factory Reset Your Smart Plug

To reset the smart plug and remove all connected products, quickly press the reset button on top of the smart plug with a pointy object for at least 5 seconds, until the LED starts pulsating. After resetting, follow the pairing steps (1-3) to reconnect your smart products.

Care Instructions: To clean the product, wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with a little mild detergent. Follow up with a dry, soft cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as they can damage the product.

Battery Replacement (RODRET): A red LED light will blink when a button is pressed, indicating a new battery is needed. Open the battery lid and replace with a new AAA/HR03 battery. IKEA recommends using a LADDA rechargeable battery (sold separately).

Disposal: The "crossed-out wheeled bin" symbol indicates that this item should be disposed of separately from household waste. Recycle the item according to local environmental regulations.
