IKEA TRETAKT Smart Plug and RODRET Steering Device

Introduction

The TRETAKT smart plug can be controlled using the RODRET steering device. If you own a DIRIGERA hub, you can also control the TRETAKT smart plug via the IKEA Home smart app.

Pairing a Steering Device to Your Smart Plug

When the smart plug is sold with a remote in the same package, they are already paired. To add more smart plugs, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the smart plug is plugged in and the main power is on.
2. Hold the steering device close to the smart plug you wish to add (within 5 cm).
3. Press and hold the pairing button on the steering device for at least 10 seconds. A red LED on the steering device will illuminate steadily. The white light on your smart plug will dim and flash once, indicating successful pairing.

Getting Started with DIRIGERA Hub

Download the IKEA Home smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the smart plug to your IKEA Home smart system.

General Information and Operation

Using Without DIRIGERA Hub

Without DIRIGERA, you can connect a maximum of 10 smart products to a single dimmer/switch. Add one product at a time. If products are close together, disconnect already connected ones before adding a new one.

TRETAKT Smart Plug Operation

• Press the On/Off button on the smart plug once to turn it on. Press again to turn it off.
• Using a remote: Press the On button [|] to turn the smart plug on. Press the Off button [o] to turn the smart plug off.

RODRET Product Operation

• Pairing button: [Pairing Button]
• Press to turn on, or long-press to increase brightness.
• Press to turn off, or long-press to decrease brightness.

Factory Reset

TRETAKT Smart Plug

Push the reset button on top of the smart plug with a pointy object for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts pulsating.

RODRET Product

To reset and remove all connected products, quick-press the pairing button 4 times (within 5 seconds). Follow steps 1-3 to reconnect your smart products.

• Do not connect products in sequence.
• Do not cover the product when in use.
• To disconnect power, pull the plug from the outlet.
• Use only indoors in dry areas.
• Do not overload the product.
• Discard the product if damaged.

Product Servicing

Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks.

Changing the Battery (RODRET)

A red LED light will blink when a button is pressed, indicating a new battery is needed. Open the battery lid and replace with a new AAA/HR03 battery. IKEA recommends using a LADDA rechargeable battery (sold separately).

Care Instructions

To clean the product, wipe with a soft cloth moistened with a little mild detergent. Follow with a dry, soft cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as they can damage the product.
