How to Use

Installing a microSD Card

Ensure the camera is unplugged. Open the waterproof cover above the microSD card slot and insert a microSD card with its contact points facing down. CAUTION: Unplug the camera when inserting or removing the microSD card. Use a microSD card from a qualified brand (supports 16 GB to 256 GB). The card may need to be formatted via Settings > Manage storage in the Xiaomi Home app. A read/write speed of no less than U1/Class 10 is recommended. After installation, ensure the waterproof cover is properly replaced.

Turning On

Insert the power adapter cable into the power port to turn on the camera. The camera is successfully turned on when the indicator light is yellow and a voice prompt is heard. Notes: Use the original charging cable. Do not manually force the dome camera lens to rotate. If the lens positioning is inaccurate, calibrate it in the Xiaomi Home app.

Indicator Status Description

• Yellow: Awaiting connection...
• Blinking yellow: Connecting to a network...
• Blinking blue: Connecting to a server...
• Keeping blue: Connected successfully

Connecting with the Xiaomi Home App

This product works with the Xiaomi Home app for control and interaction with other smart home devices. Scan the QR code to download and install the app, or search for "Xiaomi Home" in your app store. Open the app, tap "+" in the upper right, and follow the instructions to add your device. Download and use Xiaomi Home app version 9.6 or above. Notes: Ensure the camera is on and the network connection is stable. The indicator light will turn blue after a successful connection.

Resetting

When switching networks or Xiaomi Accounts, delete the camera from the Xiaomi Home app and bind it again. Note: Resetting the camera will not delete any data on the microSD card.

Precautions

• Operating temperature: -30°C to 60°C. Do not use outside this range.
• The camera has an IP66 dust-tight and water-resistant rating. Avoid extremely humid environments or locations where water ingress may occur.
• The power adapter is not waterproof and is for indoor use only. Operating temperature for the power adapter: -30°C to 45°C.
• To improve performance, avoid placing the lens near reflective surfaces (glass, white walls) which can cause over-bright or white images.
• Ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal when using Wi-Fi. Avoid placing the camera near microwave ovens or other devices that may interfere with the Wi-Fi signal.
• When night vision is enabled, a slight click sound may be heard when ambient light changes, which is normal.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified professionals.

How to Install

Mounting the Camera on a Wall

1. Paste the mounting template sticker on the desired location. Drill four holes (approx. 6 mm diameter, 40 mm depth) according to the sticker.
2. Insert four plastic wall plugs into the holes.
3. Attach the mount to the wall, insert screws into the holes, and secure them into the wall plugs. (See Fig. E-1 for wall mount, Fig. E-2 for ceiling mount)
4. After fixing the camera, wrap the power cable port with waterproof tape to ensure waterproof performance. (See Fig. F-1)
5. Once fixed and powered on, the shooting angle of the bullet camera lens can be adjusted manually. The mount can be adjusted horizontally by 180°, and the bullet camera lens can be adjusted up and down by 25°. (See Fig. F-2)

Installing the Waterproof Accessories

The waterproof network port accessories include: sealing ring, waterproof sleeve, stopper, waterproof rear cover. Installing these improves the waterproof performance of the network cable port.

Place the sealing ring on the camera's network cable port (Fig. G-1). Thread the waterproof rear cover, stopper, and waterproof sleeve over the network cable in order (Fig. G-2), then plug the network cable into the port. Screw together the waterproof sleeve and stopper, then screw together the waterproof rear cover and waterproof sleeve (Fig. G-3).

Cautions:

• The wall must support at least three times the total weight of the camera.
• Ensure the camera is firmly fixed to the wall according to the installation instructions to prevent accidental injury.
• Do not install near air conditioner outdoor units, range hood outlets, gas water heater outlets, or other heat sources.
