IKEA Krakow Delivery Without Recipient Service Regulations
1. Definitions
IKEA – IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Janki, Raszyn 05-090 Pl. Szwedzki 3, entered into the register of entrepreneurs kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XIV Commercial Division of the National Court Register under KRS number: 0000091681, NIP: 5270103385, REGON: 010577890, share capital: 20,000,000 PLN, telephone number: 22 275 00 00.
Client – a natural person with full legal capacity, a legal person, or an organizational unit without legal personality, to whom the law grants legal capacity, who orders a service from IKEA. If the Client is not a natural person, it is assumed that they are represented by a representative authorized to represent the Client under applicable law.
Contractor – an external company through which IKEA may perform Services for Clients.
IKEA Remote Contact – Remote Meeting Point with the Client. Contact with IKEA Remote Contact is possible via IKEA Chat available on our website www.ikea.pl/kontakt or by phone (22) 275 00 00 or via Facebook Messenger on IKEA's official profile. Opening hours of IKEA Remote Contact are available at www.ikea.pl/kontakt.
Goods – movable property purchased at IKEA.
2. General Provisions
2.1. IKEA provides the service described in these Regulations within the territory of the Republic of Poland, within the area of the IKEA Krakow store. Postal codes of the locality where the Service is provided constitute Annex No. 1 to these Regulations.
2.2. The Client can order the service directly through the website www.ikea.pl / IKEA application (during the ordering process, the Client checks the box for the Delivery Without Recipient service), or by providing information in the IKEA Krakow store at ul. Josepha Conrada 66, 31-357 Krakow before payment, or via telephone and purchases via IKEA chat available on www.ikea.com/kontakt.
2.3. Conditions for remote ordering are available by phone at 22 275 00 00, or on the website www.ikea.pl as indicated in the Regulations for remote service provision.
2.4. Clients who have purchased the delivery service with carrying in or the delivery service with a chosen time slot, and where the total maximum weight of the ordered Goods does not exceed 200 kg (including the weight and dimension of the longest side of a single item not exceeding 30 kg and 200 cm), can use the Delivery Without Recipient service. The price of the service is determined by IKEA based on the currently applicable price list of services at IKEA, available on www.ikea.pl and in IKEA stores.
2.5. The Delivery Without Recipient service is not provided as part of delivery with carrying in or delivery with a chosen time slot for Goods ordered individually.
2.6. IKEA provides the service based on an order placed by the Client as specified in these Regulations and upon meeting the condition described in point 2.4 of the Regulations. The confirmed IKEA order (in electronic or paper form) contains essential information regarding the order, i.e., a description of the ordered services, price, delivery address, and delivery date.
2.7. The Delivery Without Recipient service is performed as part of the delivery service in accordance with point 2.4 of the Regulations, at no additional charge and based on the Regulations for services provided by IKEA Retail sp. z o.o., available on www.ikea.pl under the Regulations tab and in IKEA stores.
2.8. In the event of the inability to perform the delivery service with carrying in or the delivery service with a chosen time slot with the Delivery Without Recipient service due to reasons beyond IKEA's control, the next delivery date will be scheduled, excluding the Delivery Without Recipient service.
3. Client Obligations
3.1. The service is performed within the timeframe chosen by the Client during the ordering process, within the available time slots. The service date can be changed up to 48 hours before the scheduled service date shown on the order.
3.2. The Client placing the order is obliged to provide true and complete contact details and to inform IKEA of any changes to the provided information. If the order contains incorrect data, it may cause a delay or even prevent IKEA from performing the service, for which IKEA is not responsible.
3.3. At the stage of placing an order via the www.ikea.pl website or the IKEA application, to use the Delivery Without Recipient service, the Client checks the dedicated service box before payment at the delivery method selection stage. In the case of an order placed in the IKEA Krakow store, via telephone, or through IKEA chat available on www.ikea.com/kontakt, the Client provides the relevant information to the IKEA employee along with a description of where to leave the order, before payment at the delivery method selection stage.
3.4. The risk of loss or damage to the ordered Goods passes to the Client at the moment the ordered Goods are left by the Contractor.
3.5. IKEA is not responsible for the Goods left, and acceptance of these Regulations involves the risk of loss of Goods due to unforeseen circumstances such as appropriation or damage by third parties, flooding, or other random events.
3.6. IKEA is not responsible for the security of personal data and other information attached to the Goods in the form of documents or labels. By accepting these Regulations, the Client confirms that they are aware of the risk associated with the potential disclosure of this information to unauthorized persons who may gain access to the location indicated by the Client.
4. Contractor Obligations
4.1. Approximately 1 hour before the planned arrival at the Client's for delivery notification, the Contractor contacts the Client by phone. If the Client is informed of the Client's unavailability at the specified delivery address, the Contractor verifies whether the Client is using the Delivery Without Recipient service in accordance with point 2.4 of the Regulations. If there is no information about the Client using the Delivery Without Recipient service, the service cannot be performed and the provisions of the IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. Service Regulations available on www.ikea.pl shall apply.
4.2. The Contractor has the final decision on leaving the ordered Goods. When assessing whether the Delivery Without Recipient service can be properly performed, the Contractor will consider issues such as: safety (verification by the Contractor whether the Goods left by the Contractor do not pose a threat to the surroundings and whether, among others, fire regulations are not violated), atmospheric conditions (including, but not limited to, waterlogged terrain, rainwater), the possibility of leaving the Goods under a permanent roof and protected on at least three sides.
4.3. Following a positive verification of the possibility of performing the service in accordance with point 4.2 of the Regulations, the Contractor leaves the package(s) with the order lying down.
4.4. In the event of failure to meet the conditions described in point 4.2 of the Regulations, the provisions of the IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. Service Regulations apply, available on www.ikea.pl, Section III, Delivery Organization – General Principles, point 7a. Subject to point b below, in the event of failure to deliver the Goods within the agreed timeframe due to reasons attributable to the Client, IKEA will provide at least one additional delivery attempt (“Additional Delivery”) at the earliest possible date. The Client will be informed via SMS (24 hours before the scheduled service) about the planned delivery date. In the event of unsuccessful delivery of the Goods despite the Additional Delivery, the Goods will be returned to IKEA. Further procedures are specified in point III 9 of the regulations.
4.5. Upon completion of the service, the Contractor will prepare photographic documentation covering the ordered Goods at the delivery location, to document the service performance.
5. Final Provisions
5.1. The Client is entitled to make complaints related to the non-performance or improper performance of the Delivery Without Recipient service.
5.2. All complaints regarding the Service should be submitted:
- Directly to the relevant IKEA Customer Service Department at the IKEA store [xxx] in writing.
- By mail to the address of the IKEA Krakow store: ul. Josepha Conrada 66, 31-357 Krakow (Head of Customer Service Department).
- Via IKEA Chat available on the website: Contact us – IKEA - IKEA.
- By phone: 22 275 00 00 (charge according to the operator's tariff).
- Via the complaint form available on the website: Complaints at IKEA - IKEA.
- Via Facebook Messenger on IKEA's official profile.
5.3. Complaints will be processed within 14 days.
5.4. A written complaint should include: Client's contact details, i.e., name and surname, address, phone number, order number, and a description and reason for the complaint.
5.5. The Regulations for the Delivery Without Recipient service are available at the IKEA Krakow store and on the website www.ikea.pl under the regulations tab.
5.6. Any disputes arising from the performance of obligations related to this service will be settled by the competent common court.
5.7. With regard to Clients who are consumers or natural persons who have concluded an agreement directly related to their business activity, where the content of such an agreement indicates that it does not have a professional character for them, resulting in particular from the subject of their business activity, made available on the basis of regulations on the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity, IKEA is responsible for the non-conformity of IKEA Goods and Services with the agreement on the terms regulated in art. 43a et seq. of the Act of May 30, 2014, on Consumer Rights. With regard to other Clients, IKEA is responsible for defects in Goods on the terms regulated in art. 556 et seq. of the Civil Code.
5.8. IKEA is entitled to make changes to these regulations in the event of changes in the scope of services provided. Any change will be made with appropriate notice. Changes to the terms of the regulations will not affect the rights acquired by the Client before the changes come into force.
5.9. These Regulations are effective from: 09.07.2025
