This document provides instructions for the assembly, care, and safe use of the JONATHAN Y Sylva floor lamp.

Inspect item carefully before attempting to install. If there is any damage or obvious defect, do not install. Item may not be returned once it has been installed.
Care and Maintenance
Unplug lamps before using any cleaning solutions. Dust shades with a feather duster or with an appropriate vacuum-brush attachment. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and clean lamp bases with the methods appropriate to the material. Avoid the use of chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage the finish.
Important Safety Instructions
- Ensure all parts are present before assembly.
- Assemble on a soft surface to prevent scratching the finish.
- Follow guidelines for safe use and installation to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury.
- The external flexible cable or cord cannot be replaced; if damaged, the lamp must be destroyed.
- This portable lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug; if it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to disregard this safety feature.

Preparation for Assembly
Before beginning assembly, verify all parts are present by comparing them with the package contents and hardware lists. Do not attempt assembly if any part is missing or damaged.
Estimated Assembly Time: 6 minutes.
Bulb Recommendation: Use ON/OFF type "A" bulb, maximum 40-watt, or LED bulb, maximum 9-watt. The box includes 3 x 4-watt LED bulbs.
Assembly Steps
Step 1: Base and Lamp Body Assembly
Connect the Lamp body (B) to the Base (A) by pulling the power cord through. Screw the Lamp body sections together: B3 onto B2, B2 onto B1, and B1 onto the Lamp base (A). Ensure the power cord is not twisted and tighten connections securely.
Step 2: Shade and Bulb Installation
Place the Shade (D) onto the Socket (C) and secure it by tightening the Socket ring (E). Insert the Bulb (F) into the Socket (C).
Step 3: Final Placement and Stability Check
Place the assembled lamp on a level surface and check for stability.
