Safety Instructions

DANGER OF LIFE - MAINS VOLTAGE!

Do not open the housing of the SkyPanel or the power supply. The housing must be completely closed for safe operation.

Always earth the fixture electrically. Use only TN- or TT single-phase power supplies with an IEC 60309-1 compliant plug.

Use only genuine ARRI Power Supply Units (PSU) and connector cables. Using third-party accessories voids the warranty.

Do not use cables to hold, move, or suspend the fixture or PSU.

Check cables and connectors for damage before each operation.

Do not connect or disconnect the power cable when the PSU is powered.

Do not operate if cables or housings are visibly damaged. Contact an ARRI service center for repairs.

CAUTION – HIGH BEAM INTENSITY!

Do not look directly into the active light source of the SkyPanel.

Observe minimum distances to persons and flammable objects as specified on the type plate.

Warnings

Do not cover ventilation slots of the fixture or PSU. Ensure unobstructed airflow for cooling.

Avoid direct illumination from other fixtures or heat sources.

Securing the Fixture and Accessories

For hanging or overhead use, use a suitable safety cable to prevent falling if the primary mounting fails. The safety cable and connectors must be rated for at least 10 times the total weight of the device and accessories.

Route the safety cable around the yoke and through the safety loop attachment (Version 1 & 2) or short yoke (Version 3), and secure it to the rigging structure.

Keep the safety cable short.

Ensure both locking pins (A) snap firmly into the diffuser/intensifier guide holes.

Insert accessories correctly into the accessory guiding rails.

Attach a rated safety cable to the accessory's safety hole and secure it to the rigging structure or the SkyPanel yoke's safety loop attachment (C).

Do not store the remote control in the trough when operating overhead.

The four eyelets (5) can be used for horizontal suspension. Use four safety cables, one for each eyelet, secured with a shackle to a single hoist point.

Ensure tripods are stable and rated for the load. Refer to "Operating your ARRI Lampheads Safely" L5.40731.E.

Basic Functions

Mounting

Mount the SkyPanel on its yoke (2) vertically or hanging. Insert the 28 mm spigot (1) into a suitable stand or clamp system and secure it.

Swivel the SkyPanel by loosening the stand/clamp screw. Adjust tilt angle by releasing tilt locks (3). Retighten screws/clamps after adjustment.

Adjusting the Beam Angle

The beam angle can be adjusted using different diffuser panels (6) or the intensifier.
