Built-in Safety Features
- Float Valve protection: Ensures no pressure is produced when the lid and body do not match well. Open the lid to release remnant pressure for safe opening/closing.
- Safety Valve and anti-blockage protection: The safety valve releases air automatically when the inner pressure exceeds the limited pressure. The anti-blockage cover prevents the pressure valve from clogging.
- Opening and closing protection: The lid cannot be opened if the temperature in the inner pot is too high.
- Over pressure and self-releasing protection: If the inner pressure is abnormal, the excess pressure protection activates, shifting the inner pot downwards to create a gap between the lid and the inner pot. Steam is released from the gap, and the coil is disconnected.
- Over temperature protection: If all protection devices fail and inner pressure reaches maximum, the fuse will blow, and power will be cut off automatically.
- Pressure self-control protection: When the inner pressure is high, the inner pot moves downwards to touch a switch, stopping heating. Heating resumes when pressure decreases.
- High temperature protection: When inner pressure reaches maximum, the temperature control switch cuts off power automatically to stop heating.
- Anti dry-burn protection: If the inner pot is in a dry-burn state, the temperature control switch cuts off power automatically to stop heating.
First Use and Maintenance
Using the Inner Pot for the First Time
Clean the inner pot with a cleaning agent and dry it. Apply some edible oil on the non-stick coating and use a clean rag and kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
Selection of Cooking Tools
Use spoons and spatulas made of wood or thermal-resistance plastics to avoid scratches on the coating. Avoid using sharp metal tools.
Cooking Crustacean Food
Crustacean food, like crabs and lobsters, may have sharp edges that can scratch the non-stick coating. Avoid using this appliance when cooking such foods.
Thorough Cleaning After Every Use
Clean the inner pot with water and a cleaning agent using a sponge to ensure oil stains are fully removed. If not, these stains will burn and stick on the next use.
Caution: Do not strike the cooker or place the inner pot directly on a burner for cooking to avoid damaging the coating or affecting the safety of the inner pot.
How to Operate
Opening the Lid
Hold the lid handle tightly and turn it clockwise to the edge-limit place, then lift the lid.
Adding Food and Water
Take out the inner pot and add food and water. The quantity of food and water should not exceed 4/5 of the inner pot's height. For food that swells easily, the quantity should not exceed 3/5 of the height. The quantity should not be less than 1/5 of the inner pot's height.
For cooking rice, the maximum quantity for models 3L, 4L, 5L, and 6L is 6, 8, 10, and 12 cups, respectively. The proportion between water and rice is 1:1. For congee, the proportion should be 8:1. These proportions can be adjusted based on personal taste.
Placing the Inner Pot
Put the inner pot into the outer pot. Ensure the bottom of the inner pot and the heating disk are clean and free of foreign objects. Turn the pot slightly left or right to ensure proper contact with the heating disk.
Closing the Lid
Check that the seal ring is properly placed in the lid. Turn the supporting cap for the seal ring to ensure it is evenly placed. Hold the lid handle tightly, place it on the edge limit, and turn the lid counterclockwise to the locking place until a "racking" sound is heard.
Setting the Air Outlet Valve and Checking Float Valve
Turn the air outlet valve to the [air-outlet] symbol. Check that the float valve has fallen down (it should be down before heating).
Connecting Power and Setting Cooking Time
Connect the cooker to the power. The [power-on] symbol will be seen on the display. Set the cooking time based on different foods. Refer to the Cooking Manual for more details.

Presetting Time
Press the "timer" button (it will light up). This adds 0.5 hour increments. The longest preset time is 24 hours. Heating will begin after presetting.
Starting Cooking
a) Select the menu according to the food. For rice, press the "Rice" button for a quick start.
b) Refer to the cooking guide when choosing "Time Min". Press "Time Min" then press again to add pressure keeping time by 1 minute.
Note: Pressure keeping time refers to the duration the cooker maintains working pressure during heating.
If a timer is preset, the LED display decreases the time by minute. When it reaches "0", the light turns off, and heating begins.
When pressure is reached during heating, the display shows "P:00" (where "00" is the set pressure keeping time), and this time reduces by minute.
If "Time Min" is chosen, the display shows "P:15" (if 15 minutes are set), and the pressure keeping time reduces by 1 minute.
The display shows "0000" when the pressure keeping process finishes, and the cooker rings 3 times. It then enters the warm-keeping state.
Canceling Function
You can cancel a set function by pressing the "keep warm/cancel" button during cooking or function setting.
Taking the Food Out
Lift the pressure limit valve to discharge air until the float valve has fallen down.
Note: For liquid foods like congee or sticky liquids, do not discharge air immediately. Allow the cooker to cool until the float valve falls before discharging air. Otherwise, the food may be sprayed out from the air-discharging pipe.
You can disconnect the power plug and use a wet towel to cover the lid to help the cooker cool quickly. Unplug the power cord. Hold the lid handle tightly, turn the lid clockwise to the edge limit place, then lift the lid to take out the food.
