Product Description
This appliance is designed for grilling food such as vegetables, fish, and meat, preparing a traditional Swiss raclette dish, or making mini pizzas and egg dishes. It is intended for private, indoor use and not for professional operation. Always use the appliance as described in this manual to avoid damage, injury, or voiding the warranty.
Important Safety Instructions
Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Pay particular attention to all figures on the illustration page.
- WARNING - DANGER OF SUFFOCATION! Packaging materials are not toys. Children should not play with them as they pose a risk of swallowing and suffocation.
- WARNING! Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before replacing attachments, cleaning, or when not in use.
- WARNING - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Protect the appliance and its electrical parts against moisture. Do not immerse in water or other liquids. Never hold under running water. Do not operate with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- WARNING – HOT SURFACE! Surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
- This appliance is classified as protection class I and must be connected to a protective ground.
- Only use in dry indoor rooms.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the hazards.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- Never use accessories other than those supplied with the appliance, as they may pose a safety risk or damage the appliance. Use only original or authorized parts.
- WARNING! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this appliance solely as instructed. Do not attempt to modify it.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if left unattended, or before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.
- For cleaning instructions for surfaces in contact with food, refer to the "After Use" chapter.
- The appliance is intended for household and similar applications (e.g., staff kitchens, farm houses, hotels, B&Bs).
- It is not intended for operation by external timer or remote control.
- DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Repairs must be conducted by qualified personnel only.
- Protect the appliance against dust, direct sunlight, dripping, and splashing water.
- Do not pull the power plug out by the cord; do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
- Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting the plug.
- Always place and operate on an even, stable, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- Dry the appliance and accessories before connecting to power or attaching accessories.
- Connect the mains plug to an easily accessible socket for quick disconnection in an emergency.
- If using an extension cord or multi-socket unit, ensure it has appropriate power rating.
- Leave at least 25 cm free space around and above the appliance. Ensure it does not contact flammable material and is not covered.
- Do not damage the surface of the reversible plate with hard or sharp objects.
- CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! Always hold by handles to move. Do not move or lift when switched on/hot, with food on the plate, or pans underneath. The appliance remains hot for some time after use. Let all parts cool down completely.
- WARNING! Do not operate without the reversible plate. It must be placed over the heating element before operation.

The GASTROBACK Raclette Grill & Pancake Station features a reversible plate with a grill/teppanyaki side and a pancake side. The appliance includes:

Usage Conditions: The appliance is designed for use in dry indoor rooms only.
Electrical Safety
- Ensure the rated voltage on the label matches your power supply.
- Do not operate if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or is damaged.
- Protect the power cord from damage: do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep away from hot surfaces and ensure no one can trip over it.
- Do not open the housing. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into openings, and do not obstruct air vents.
- Protect the appliance from heat. Do not place near open flames or heat sources like stoves or heating appliances.
Before First Use
- Place the raclette base on an even, stable, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
- Position the reversible plate over the heating elements on the plate supports.
- Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
- Operate the appliance without pans or food on the highest setting for 5-10 minutes to remove manufacturing residues. Some odor is normal; ensure ventilation.
- Switch off, disconnect from power, and let it cool down.
- Clean all parts as described in the "After Use" chapter. Let all parts dry thoroughly.
- The appliance is now ready for use.
Operation
- Place the raclette base on an even, stable, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
- Position the reversible plate over the heating elements on the plate supports, using the desired side (grill/teppanyaki or pancake).
- Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
- Turn the rotary knob clockwise to the highest setting to preheat the appliance. The operating light will turn on.
- When the operating light goes out, the appliance is ready for cooking. Adjust the rotary knob to your desired lower setting.
- Rub cooking oil onto the reversible plate and add your desired food. Turn regularly.
- Place ingredients in a mini/double pan, cover with cheese, and place the pan on the metal plate under the heating element. The cheese will melt. Once bubbly, the pan can be removed.
Notes on Operation:
- The operating light turns on and off to indicate temperature maintenance. Green light = on, Red light = heating.
- Temperature settings via rotary knob: Level 1: ~140°C, Level 2: ~190°C, Level 3: ~210°C, Level 4: ~220°C, Level 5: ~230°C, Level 6: ~250°C.
- Never use sharp objects on the plate or pans to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Use only supplied spatulas.
- Do not grill ingredients that burn easily.
- For mini pizzas: Cut dough with the pan edge, place in pan, top as desired. Bake for 10 mins, then place on grill side for ~3 mins for browning.
- The pancake side can be used for sweet/savory variations, eggs, omelets.
- Place used mini/double pans on a heat-resistant surface after removal.
- Never place empty pans on the appliance during operation.
- Never pour cold water onto the reversible plate; it can damage the appliance and cause splashing.
- Some operational noise is normal.
When finished, turn the rotary knob counter-clockwise to 0. The operating light will go out. Disconnect the power plug and let all parts cool down completely.
After Use
Cleaning
Clean the appliance after each use for safe and hygienic operation.
- Unplug and let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning.
- Do not use steel wool, strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive, or disinfecting agents, as they can damage the surface.
- Do not immerse the raclette base in water or other liquids. Ensure no water enters the base and electrical parts do not get wet.
- Clean the raclette base with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry with a soft, dry cloth.
- Clean all other parts in warm water with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Dry with a soft, dry cloth.
Notes:
- Stubborn residues can be removed by soaking parts in warm dishwater.
- Dispose of fat and meat juices as compost or in a closed vessel in household waste. Do not pour into the sink to avoid clogging.
- The reversible plate, pans, and spatulas can be cleaned in a dishwasher, but hand washing is recommended to prolong the non-stick coating.
- The appliance must be completely dry before reuse.
Storage
- Ensure the appliance is completely dry, cooled, and clean before storage.
- Store in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of reach of children.
- Preferably store in its original packaging.

Recipes
Crêpes Recipe (for approx. 24 mini crêpes)
Ingredients:
- 80 g wheat flour (type 405)
- 1 pinch of sugar
- ½ pinch of salt
- 1 egg (size M)
- 125 ml milk
- Butter
- Cinnamon-sugar mixture or nut nougat cream for filling (optional)
Preparation:
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add egg and milk, whisk until smooth and thin.
- Preheat appliance to level 3. Grease circles with butter (first batch only).
- Use slightly less than 1 tablespoon of batter per crêpe. Pour into mold and spread evenly in a circular motion. Lowering temp to level 2 allows more time.
- After ~30 seconds, flip with spatula and bake for 15-20 seconds.
- For better taste, add a little butter to indentations before each crêpe.
- Enjoy with powdered sugar, fruit, Nutella, or savory toppings.
Pancake Recipe (for approx. 10 pancakes)
Ingredients:
- 125 g wheat flour (type 405)
- 1 - 1½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ pinch of salt
- 1 egg (size M)
- 100 ml milk
- Cooking oil (e.g., sunflower oil) or butter
- Powdered sugar, maple syrup, and fruit (optional)
Preparation:
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add egg and milk, mix with hand mixer until smooth.
- Preheat appliance to level 3. Add a little oil to each cavity. Place 1 tablespoon of batter into each cavity and spread with the back of a tablespoon. Bake for ~1½ minutes per side.
- Enjoy with powdered sugar, maple syrup, and berries, or as desired.
Notes for Disposal
Dispose of the appliance and packaging according to local regulations for electrical waste and packaging. Contact your local disposal company. Do not dispose of electrical appliances in unsorted municipal waste; use separate collection facilities. Improper disposal can release hazardous substances into the environment, harming health and ecosystems. When replacing an old appliance with a new one, the vendor is legally obligated to take back the old appliance for disposal at no charge.
