Operation
Selecting the Appropriate Filter Basket
The appliance comes with filter baskets for different purposes. Select the appropriate basket for optimal results. The provided filter baskets are suited for various combinations of coffee powder amount, grind size, tamping pressure, and extraction volume. Adjust these parameters step-by-step.
- Dual Wall Filters – ideal for beginners: These filters simplify espresso preparation for quick, easy results. They slow down water flow for optimal pressure and a rich crema. Suitable for pre-ground or freshly ground beans.
- Single Wall Filters – for aspiring coffee enthusiasts: These filters allow manual adjustment of grind size, amount, and tamping pressure. They do not influence water flow, requiring fine-tuning for best results.
Note: You can program extraction volumes (see "Entering Your Own Settings").
Note: Values mentioned (e.g., coffee amount) refer to factory preset values and are adjustable via the programming function.
Preparing Coffee
- Fill the water tank.
- Ensure the control knob is in the standby position (•).
- Connect the appliance to power and press the power button. The appliance preheats; the power indicator flashes, and grinding indicators light up.
