Quick Start Guide
Hardware Overview
The device features the following ports and indicators:

LED Indicator Table

Installation
Assembly
Follow these steps for physical installation:
- Stick two silicone pads on the bracket and post respectively.
- Thread the cable ties through the fixing point of the bracket.
- Fix the product to the post with cable ties.
Detailed cable connection steps:
- Pass the RJ45 cable through the waterproof connector cover.
- Screw the waterproof seal into the waterproof connector bracket.
- Pass the RJ45 cable through the waterproof connector bracket, and screw the waterproof connector bracket into the cover.
- Put the waterproof sealing ring on the waterproof connector bracket.
- Connect the RJ45 cable to the WAN/LAN port.
- Screw the connecting cable into the 2.4G and 5G antenna connectors and screw up the connector.
Note: Turn the wrench counterclockwise during assembly to tighten the bracket; turn clockwise to loosen during disassembly.
For lightning protection, use a ground connection if installed in a lightning-prone area.
Connection
2.2.1 Passive PoE (For Router/ AP Mode)
- Connect the "PoE" port of the PoE converter with an Ethernet cable [ethernet] to the device's WAN/LAN port.
- Connect another Ethernet cable [ethernet] from the PoE converter's "LAN DATA IN" port to a "LAN" port on your router. (Skip if connecting wirelessly).
- Plug the power plug ? into the "DC IN(37-57V)" port of the PoE converter and connect the power adapter to an outlet.
2.2.2 Active PoE (For AP/Router Mode)
Connect to a PoE switch.
Attention
- Use certified CAT5e/CAT6 Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors.
- Ethernet cable length should be less than 100 meters (328 feet).
- If fixed on a post, the post length must be less than the cable ties' length.
Configuration
1. Connecting to PC
1.1 Via Wireless
- Disconnect any Ethernet cable from your computer ?.
- Turn on your computer's Wi-Fi ?. Find the product's SSID (e.g., WAVLINK-AX_XXXX, WAVLINK-AX_5G_XXXX) and connect.
1.2 Via Cable
- Connect an Ethernet cable [ethernet] from your PC/Laptop ? to the LAN DATA IN port of the PoE converter.
- If using AP/Router function, connect the LAN DATA IN port to the upper router's LAN port after completing steps 4.1 and 4.4.
Login Process
- When connecting for the first time, a login page should pop up. Alternatively, enter

in your browser's address bar. - The default password is
admin
. - Select your Country/Region and Time Zone. For security, set a new login password. Click "Next".
Note: The three colored bars indicate password strength.
Mode Selection
This product supports 4 modes:
4.1 AP Mode
- The system defaults to AP mode via SSID. Click "Next".
- Connect the product's WAN/LAN port to the higher-level network. You can change the SSID and encryption mode (WPA2-PSK recommended). Create a strong password. Click "Save".
4.2 EasyMesh Agent Mode
- Log in to

. - Click "Switch Mode", then select "EasyMesh Agent Mode".
- Click "Save".
- Enter the Pair Key for this device in the main router's mesh network, or press the Pair button [button] on both the main router and sub-router for 1 second.
Note: If unsure, contact the manufacturer.
4.3 Repeater Mode
- Click "Switch Mode", then select "Repeater Mode".
- Scan for Wi-Fi networks ?. Select the desired network and click "Next". If not listed, click "Rescan".
- Enter the wireless network password. Set the wireless network encryption mode and password for this device. Click "Save".
4.4 Mesh Router Mode
- Click "Switch Mode", then choose "Mesh Router Mode".
- Ensure your upper router is connected to this product's WAN/LAN port. The system will guide you to select the WAN Type. Encryption Mode WPA2-PSK is recommended. Create a strong password.
Manual Input
- Manually add the wireless network you want to relay, enter the device information, and click "Next".
- Set the wireless network encryption mode and password for this device. Click "Save".
Which WAN Type am I supposed to choose?
- PPPoE: For DSL lines with an account name and password.
- DHCP (Dynamic IP): For cable TV or fiber cable.
- Static IP: If provided with IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
Wi-Fi Password Management
To change your Wi-Fi password, click on "Wireless" ?.
Firmware Upgrade
Follow these steps to update firmware:
Option I
- Download the latest firmware file from
www.wavlink.com
-> SUPPORT -> Firmware. - Extract the firmware file.
- Log in to

, navigate to "Advanced" and select "Firmware Update". - Click the browse button [upload] to locate the firmware file.
- Click "Upload" and then "Apply". Wait for the process to complete.
Option II
- Log in to

, navigate to "Advanced" and select "Firmware Update". - Click "Check New Version" to find the latest version.
- Click "Download and Upgrade". Wait for the process to complete.
Note: After updating, reset the device and clear your browser cache.

More Mesh Devices
A mesh router typically supports up to 7 devices. To add more devices:
- Log in to

. - Navigate to "Advanced" -> "Mesh Network".
- Add devices by entering their "Pair Key". Ensure sub-routers are in Mesh Agent Mode. Alternatively, press the Pair button [button] on the main router and sub-router for 1 second after setting the sub-router as EasyMesh Agent Mode.
FAQ
Q1. Why doesn't the login page appear after entering http://waplogin.link
?
- Verify wireless connection ? to the device's SSID. If wired, check cable stability.
- Ensure your computer ? obtains an IP address automatically.
- Try logging in using the IP address
192.168.10.1
. If connected wirelessly, check the router's DHCP client list for the device's IP. - If the issue persists, reset the device.
Q2. How do I restore the device to its factory default settings?
- While the device is powered on, press and hold the Reset Button [button] until all LEDs momentarily turn on.
Q3. What should I do if the LED does not change to solid after completing?
- You might have entered the incorrect Wi-Fi password for your host Wi-Fi. Log into the device's web interface to check and re-enter the password.
- Alternatively, reset the device and reconfigure it.
