Introduction
This document provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SFA Sanidouche, Sanishower, and Sanipump wastewater lifting stations. The products are designed for efficient and reliable domestic wastewater evacuation. This manual is available in multiple languages to assist users worldwide.
Product Description
SFA lifting stations are manufactured in ISO 9001 certified facilities, ensuring a high level of performance, safety, and reliability when installed and used according to the guidelines in this manual. These devices are intended for evacuating wastewater from private dwellings, excluding toilet waste. Specific models are designed for different applications, such as showers, sinks, washing machines, and dishwashers. The units comply with EN 12050-2 and relevant European standards for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
Important Safety Note: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or those lacking experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised and instructed by a responsible person for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Applications
The SFA lifting stations are compact units designed to evacuate domestic wastewater. Specific models are suited for:
- Sanivite®, Sanispeed®, Sanipump 2®: Designed for wastewater from sinks (kitchen, bathroom), washing machines, dishwashers, showers, or bathtubs.
- Sanidouche®/Sanipump 1®: Suitable for wastewater from showers, sinks, or bidets.
- Sanishower® Flat/Sanidouche® Flat: Specifically designed for wastewater from showers only.
Sanispeed models are built for heavier duty usage.
Installation
The unit must be installed in the same room as the connected sanitary facilities and must be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance. Installation and operation must comply with local regulations and EN 12056-4 standards.
To optimize soundproofing and performance, ensure:
- The tank does not touch any walls of the room.
- The tank is placed on a perfectly flat floor to ensure proper functioning of the anti-vibration feet.
- Drainage pipes are correctly fixed, with fastening distances not exceeding one meter.
Electrical Connection
Electrical connections should only be made after all plumbing connections are finalized. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The unit requires a 220/240V single-phase AC 50 Hz supply (UK specification). It must be wired into a fused, unswitched, fixed wiring connector fitted with a 5 amp fuse. The mains lead wires are colored brown (Live), blue (Neutral), and green/yellow (Earth). Ensure electricity is turned OFF at the main switchboard before wiring. All work on the cable, pressure chamber, and motor should only be performed by a qualified Saniflo servicing agent.
Commissioning
After electrical and plumbing connections are made, check all seals and connections for watertightness. Verify the discharge pipework and connections to other sanitary appliances.
Maintenance
Warning: If away for an extended period, turn off the main water supply to the unit and protect the installation against frost.
Cleaning and Descaling: Regularly use a suitable descaling agent (like SFA Sanibroyeur Cleanser) to remove limescale and clean the lifting station without damaging internal components.
Fault Finding and Remedies
Important: Always disconnect the pump station from the electrical supply before performing any work.
