Installation and Operation
Ideal Positioning
To ensure optimal performance, place the solar torch in a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 8 hours daily. Avoid shaded areas or spots near other light sources (e.g., streetlights) that might interfere with the dusk sensor.
Assembly and First Use
Follow these steps for assembly and initial operation:
- Carefully unpack all components.
- Assemble the lamp housing according to the diagrams (refer to Figure 1 on page 2). The torch can be mounted using either a wall mount option or a ground mount option, typically requiring three screws for each. The assembled torch measures 600 mm in height and 120 mm in diameter.
- Press the ON/OFF switch [*] once to turn the lamp on (refer to Figure 2 on page 2).
Troubleshooting
If the solar lamp does not automatically turn on at dusk, please check the following:
- Battery Not Charged: Ensure the lamp is positioned in an optimal location with sufficient direct sunlight for charging. In conditions of insufficient light (e.g., overcast skies or poor weather), the lamp will resume normal operation on the next sunny day.
- Proximity to Light Sources: The lamp may be too close to streetlights or other strong external light sources. Relocate the lamp to a darker area, away from interfering lights.
- Insufficient Direct Sunlight: Verify that the lamp is not placed in a shaded area, such as next to a building or under a tree. Move it to a location with unobstructed direct sunlight.
- Switch Position: Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position. You can test the lamp's functionality by taking it into a completely dark room.
Attention and Safety Information
Winter Use
Due to the battery type, this product is not recommended for winter use. To prevent deep discharge of the Lithium-Ion battery during winter, it is advised to store the fully charged lamp in a deactivated state in a frost-free environment. Deep discharge of the battery is not covered by warranty.
Battery Disposal
Used batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. As an end-user, you are responsible for recycling used batteries or taking them to designated collection points (e.g., household hazardous waste facilities, authorized recyclers). Never dispose of batteries in fire. Use only batteries of the same type and specifications as the original. Do not mix old and new batteries.
