FAQ
Can it be used in the fridge or freezer?
Using in refrigerators/freezers shortens battery life and affects connection. Recommended ambient temperature for prolonged operation is 14–140°F (-10–60°C).
Can it be used in a high humidity environment for a long time?
Not recommended for long-term use in high humidity (above 80% RH) due to lack of waterproofing, which can cause condensation and damage.
How do I set the temperature and humidity alarm range?
Go to "Device Settings" and use the "Temperature Alarm" and "Relative Humidity Alarm" settings to adjust ranges via sliders or dropdown lists.
Why doesn't the thermometer hygrometer immediately display accurate temperature after significant environmental change?
The device needs time to adjust to new environmental conditions, which can take minutes to hours depending on the change.
Why might temperature/humidity changes be slower or faster compared to other devices?
Reasons include: testing in extreme conditions (freezer/fridge), differences in surrounding environment/placement, and the device's design for stable, long-term monitoring rather than rapid response.
Why does the device screen show condensation or abnormalities in high humidity environments (e.g., greenhouse)?
Extreme humidity with condensation can cause malfunctions. If this occurs, remove batteries, dry the device and compartment, and place in a dry, ventilated area for 24 hours with the compartment open. Reinstall batteries. If issues persist, replace the device.
How do I export data?
In the app, tap the thermometer hygrometer, drag to the bottom, and tap "Export Data." Data can be exported for up to six months (180 days). Only temperature and humidity data are supported.
How do I calibrate the temperature and humidity?
The device is factory calibrated. If recalibration is desired, use the "Calibration" setting under "Device Settings."
How do I distinguish which device in the app corresponds to the real device?
Method 1: Label the back of the device with the name shown in the app. Method 2: Use the "Device Test" feature in the app; the tested device's screen will flash slowly three times.
