Product Overview

The X-SENSE WS-C Weather Station provides real-time weather data, including outdoor and indoor temperature, humidity, time, date, weather forecasts, and alerts. It features a main weather station unit and a wireless outdoor sensor.

Main Unit: Features a large LCD display showing animated forecasts (☀️ Sunny, ?️ Partly Sunny, ☁️ Cloudy, ?️ Rainy, ⛈️ Stormy), pressure, moon phase, time, calendar, and temperature/humidity alerts. Control buttons include SET, ALARM, ALERT, LIGHT/SNOOZE, DEW/HEAT, MEM, and +/CH. The rear has a mounting socket, 5.0V AC power jack, speaker, and a battery compartment for 3 AAA batteries.

Outdoor Sensor: Transmits data wirelessly. It has a TX Button, battery cover, and a battery compartment for 2 AAA batteries. Lithium AAA batteries are recommended for temperatures below -20 °C (-4 °F).

Setup and Settings

Device Powering

Power the main unit using the included 5V AC adapter or 3 AAA batteries. Power the outdoor sensor with 2 AAA batteries (Lithium recommended for cold temperatures). Ensure correct battery polarity for both units. The outdoor sensor's red LED flashes during transmission.

Pairing with Outdoor Sensors

The station is pre-paired. To pair additional sensors or re-pair:

  1. Select channel (#1-#3) with +/CH button.
  2. Hold +/CH for 3 seconds (values flash). Hold again for 3 seconds to cancel pairing.
  3. Press the TX button on the outdoor sensor.
  4. A beep confirms successful pairing; a ? signal icon will display.

Time, Language, and Format Setting

Hold SET for 3 seconds to enter settings. Use MEM and +/CH to adjust values. Press SET to confirm and proceed.

Settings sequence: 12/24hr format, Time Zone (see table), Time (H/M/S/Y/M/D), Language (EN/DE/FR/IT/ES), Date Format (DD/WW or WW/DD), Radio Clock (ON/OFF), C/F, Pressure Unit (hPa/inHg).

Alarm Setting

To set the alarm: Hold ALARM for 3 seconds, adjust Hour/Minute with MEM/+CH, press ALARM to save. Press ALARM to toggle the alarm; ? icon appears when active.

Temperature Alert Setting

Press ALERT to view current settings. To configure alerts: Hold ALERT for 3 seconds, adjust values with MEM/+CH, press ALARM to enable/disable alerts (● icon appears when active). Press ALERT to cycle through settings: Indoor High, Indoor Low, Outdoor High, Outdoor Low. A beep confirms completion.

Important Placement Guidelines

  • Place units away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and vents for accuracy.
  • Maximum wireless range: 150 m (500 ft).
  • Position away from large metallic objects, thick walls, and metal surfaces to maximize range.
  • Keep away from electronic devices (TV, computer, microwave) to prevent signal interference.

Using the Weather Station

Viewing Measurements of Outdoor Sensors

Press +/CH repeatedly to view data from paired sensors. No data displays if no sensor is paired or connected (?? may appear).

24 Hour Temperature and Humidity Memory

Hold HEAT/DEW, then press MEM/+CH to view the last 24 hours of temperature and humidity data.

Weather Forecast

The station predicts weather for the next 12-24 hours with 75% accuracy based on air pressure. It displays animated icons: ☀️ Sunny, ?️ Partly Sunny, ☁️ Cloudy, ?️ Rainy, ⛈️ Stormy. Allow 7 days for barometer calibration.

Heat Index/Dew Point

Press HEAT/DEW repeatedly to view current dew point and heat index.

View/Reset Min/Max Values

  • Press MEM once for maximum temperature values.
  • Press MEM twice for minimum temperature values.
  • Hold MEM for 3 seconds to reset min/max values.

Radio Clock

  • ? icon: RCC signal received.
  • No signal: RCC signal not received.

Moon Phase

The station displays 8 moon phase states. A new moon is shown when no icon is visible (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?).

Backlight Function

Press LIGHT/SNOOZE repeatedly to cycle through backlight settings: high, low, off.

Troubleshooting
