Installation and Setup
Location, Installation, and Ventilation
The MIMO4040CDN is designed for 19" rack mounting. Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving one rack unit (HE) free above and below the unit to allow for airflow and prevent overheating.
Power Connection and Switching On
The device operates on AC voltage from 90 to 264V, 47-63Hz, with an auto-adjusting power supply. The power switch is located on the rear panel, and a front panel LED indicates operation.
Analog Audio Inputs
The unit features 8 balanced analog audio inputs (IN 1-8) that accept Line and Mic signals. Signal type selection and control are managed through the EclerNet Manager application. Inputs use Euroblock connectors.
Analog Audio Outputs
The MIMO4040CDN provides 8 balanced analog audio outputs (OUT 1-8) and 2 monitor outputs. Outputs also use Euroblock connectors.
Digital Dante™/AES67 Audio Inputs and Outputs over IP
The device supports 32 channels of digital audio input and output via Dante™/AES67 over an Ethernet network. Network configuration is managed by the Dante Controller software. The unit has two RJ45 ports (PRIMARY and SECONDARY) for Dante™/AES67 connectivity, supporting redundant operation.
Ethernet Port for Programming and Control
The RJ45 Ethernet port allows connection to a local Ethernet network for control via EclerNet Manager, integration with third-party control systems (Crestron, AMX, etc.), and remote control via UCPs.
RS-232 Port for Remote Control
The integrated RS-232 port with a DB9 connector enables communication with external devices using the TP-NET protocol for parameter control.
GPI Ports for Remote Control
Eight GPI inputs are available for remote control via external devices (potentiometers, contact closures) and can be assigned to various functions, such as volume control, mute activation, or preset recall.
GPO Ports for Remote Control
Eight GPO relay outputs (NO/NC) are provided for controlling external devices based on programmed functions or UCP button presses.

TP-NET Protocol Introduction
The TP-NET protocol allows client devices to get and set parameters of EclerNet compatible devices, including volumes, mutes, and alarms. Communication can be established via Ethernet (UDP/IP, port 5800) or RS-232. The protocol is message-based and uses capital letters. Specific messages include SYSTEM CONNECT, GET, SET, INC, DEC, SUBSCRIBE, UNSUBSCRIBE, DATA, and ERROR.
