This action erases all user profiles and historical data from the scale. All erased data cannot be recovered.
- Ensure the scale's LCD display is turned off.
- Turn the scale over.
- Using a thin object like a pin, press the button located inside the small hole near the top of the scale for 3 seconds. The scale's memory will be completely reset.

- b) Use the tip of a pen to loosen each battery. Tilt the scale to allow the batteries to slide out.
- c) Insert four new AA batteries, pressing them firmly into their slots.
- d) Replace the battery cover.
- e) You will need to reset the Time and Date as described in the “Setting the Time and Date” section.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the following for common error messages:
- If "E" appears on the upper row of the display:
- You may have stepped on the scale before it displayed "0.0".
- The scale could not detect a stable weight. Ensure you stand still while weighing.
- The load has exceeded the scale's capacity (400 lb / 182 kg).
- If "E" appears on the lower row of the display:
- The calculated BMI is out of the measurable range (5 - 70).
Note: The display will turn off automatically after 20 seconds if no button is pressed.
It is normal for your weight to vary during the day and from one day to another.

Your Healthy Lifestyle
Achieving good health and fitness involves a balanced combination of proper eating and regular exercise. Neither dieting nor exercising alone yields the best results. To maintain a healthy lifestyle, set realistic fitness goals and manage your calorie intake.
While dieting can lead to weight loss, it can also result in the loss of beneficial muscle and bone tissue. A better approach is to reduce calorie intake by choosing more healthful foods and incorporating regular exercise to burn fat more effectively. Exercise not only makes you feel better by improving circulation and relieving stress, but it also speeds up your metabolism. Muscles burn fat both during activity and at rest.
How does extra weight affect my health?
Excess weight increases the risk of developing health problems such as:
- Type 2 diabetes (high blood sugar)
- High blood pressure
- Heart disease and stroke
- Certain types of cancer
- Sleep apnea (breathing pauses during sleep)
Consult your healthcare professional for more information.
Helpful Eating Tips
- Ensure no more than 30% of your daily calories come from fat, with no more than 10% from saturated fat.
- Never skip meals! Eat sensible portions at every meal and use small, low-calorie snacks between meals to manage hunger.
- Learn to read food labels and follow recommended serving sizes.
- Balance your calorie intake with your activity level. Eat less on low-activity days and more on days with rigorous exercise.
- Follow the USDA's Food Pyramid as a guide for a healthy, balanced eating plan.
Helpful Exercise Tips
- Set goals: Write down your short-term and long-term fitness objectives.
- Make exercise a habit: Choose a consistent time each day, even if it's just 30 minutes, and stick to it.
- Vary your workout routine to prevent boredom and maintain motivation.
- Recruit a friend: Exercising with a partner can help keep both of you motivated.
