Operation and Network Setup

  1. Wiring: Ensure all wiring is performed according to the connection diagrams. The Namron Zigbee Dimmer is a wireless receiver that communicates with Zigbee compatible systems via radio signals.
  2. Zigbee Network Pairing through Coordinator or Hub:
    1. Remove the device from any previous Zigbee network if it has already been added.
    2. Using your Zigbee Controller or hub interface, select the option to add a lighting device and enter pairing mode as instructed by the controller.
    3. Reset the device's power to initiate network pairing mode. The connected light will flash twice slowly. This mode has a 15-second timeout; repeat the power reset if necessary.
    4. Upon successful pairing, the connected light will blink 5 times and then remain solid. The device will then appear in your controller's menu for operation.
  3. TouchLink to a Zigbee Remote:
    1. Method 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 4 times (or reset power 4 times) to start Touchlink commissioning immediately (180s timeout).
    2. Method 2: Reset the device's power. If not added to a Zigbee network, Touchlink commissioning starts after 15 seconds (165s timeout). If already added, it starts immediately (180s timeout). Repeat if timeout occurs.
    3. Bring the Zigbee remote or touch panel within 10cm of the lighting device.
    4. Initiate the Touchlink commissioning on the remote or touch panel as per its manual.
    5. Successful linking is indicated by an indication on the remote and the connected light flashing twice.
    6. Note: Directly TouchLinking (both devices not in a network) allows 1 remote per device. After adding both to a Zigbee network, each device can link with up to 30 remotes. For control via gateway and remote, add both to the network first, then TouchLink. Linked remotes can control the device after TouchLinking.
  4. Removed from a Zigbee Network through Coordinator or Hub Interface: From your Zigbee controller or hub interface, select the option to delete or reset the lighting device. The connected light will blink 3 times to confirm successful removal.
  5. Factory Reset through a Zigbee Remote (Touch Reset): Ensure the device and remote are on the same network or the remote is not added to any network. Bring the remote/touch panel within 10cm of the device. Initiate the Touch Reset procedure on the remote/touch panel as per its manual. Reset the device's power to start the process (180s timeout). Successful reset is indicated by the remote's indication and the connected light flashing 3 times.
  6. Find and Bind Mode: Ensure the device and remote are added to the same Zigbee network. Set the remote or touch panel (target node) into find-and-bind mode as per its manual. Short press the 'Reset' button 3 times on the dimmer (or reset its power 3 times) to start Find and Bind mode (connected light flashes slowly) to find and bind the target node (180s timeout). Successful binding is indicated on the remote/touch panel, allowing control of the device.
  7. Factory Reset Manually: If the device is already at factory default, no indication will appear upon resetting. All configuration parameters will be reset. To reset, short press the 'Reset' key 5 times continuously. If the 'Reset' key is not accessible, reset the device's power 5 times continuously. The connected light will blink 3 times to indicate a successful reset.
  8. Learning to a Zigbee Green Power Switch: Short press the 'Reset' button 4 times on the dimmer (or reset its power 4 times) to start the learning mode (connected light flashes twice, 180s timeout). Set the green power switch into learning mode as per its manual. A successful learning is indicated by the connected light flashing twice, enabling switch control of the device. Each device can learn up to 20 Zigbee green power switches.
  9. Delete Learning to a Zigbee Green Power Switch: Short press the 'Reset' button 3 times on the dimmer (or reset its power 3 times) to start the delete learning mode (connected light flashes slowly, 180s timeout). Set the paired green power switch into learning mode as per its manual. Successful deletion is indicated by the connected light flashing 4 times.

  12. Setting Minimum Brightness: Adjust the brightness to a desired level via the Zigbee hub/controller or remote. Then, press and hold the 'Min. Set' key until the connected light flashes. This sets the minimum dimming level. The connected load can only be dimmed between this minimum level and 100%. The dimmer range is 1%-100%, but some loads may flicker at 1%; setting a higher minimum brightness can prevent this.
  13. Delete Minimum Brightness: Adjust the brightness to 100% via the Zigbee hub/controller or remote. Press and hold the 'Min. Set' key until the connected light flashes, confirming the minimum brightness has been deleted.
  14. Set Startup Brightness: Adjust the connected load's brightness to a desired level between 1%-50%. Double-click the 'Min. Set' key to set this as the startup brightness. The load will turn on to this startup brightness and then adjust to the brightness level it was at before being turned off. This feature helps prevent issues with dimmable LED drivers that may not turn on at very low brightness levels.
  15. Delete Startup Brightness: Adjust the connected load's brightness to 0%. Double-click the 'Min. Set' key to delete the previously set startup brightness.
  16. Controlled by a Push Switch: Connect a push switch to the S1 and COM terminals. A single click of the push switch will turn the light ON/OFF. Pressing and holding the switch will increase or decrease the light intensity.
