The Namron Zigbee Smart Plug Dimmer is a device designed to control and dim lighting fixtures wirelessly via the Zigbee protocol. It offers smart home integration and various control features.
Product Diagram Description
The device is a compact plug designed to fit into a standard wall socket. It features a single button on its front face, used for control and status indication. The approximate dimensions are 71.4mm in height and 41.4mm in diameter.
Operation Instructions
1. On/Off and Dimming Control
To turn the connected lights on or off, briefly press the setting button. To dim the lights, press and hold the button for more than 1 second.
2. Minimum Brightness Setting
With the lamp powered on, double-press the setting button quickly, then press and hold it for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode. The button indicator will turn yellow, and the connected load will operate at its lowest brightness level. Adjust the brightness to your desired level, then double-press the setting button to save the setting. This mode has a timeout of 60 seconds.
3. Dimming Mode Settings (Leading Edge / Trailing Edge)
Leading Edge Dimming: Short press the setting button 3 times, then press and hold it for 3 seconds. The indicator will blink white slowly for 3 seconds to confirm the setting.
Trailing Edge Dimming: Short press the setting button 4 times, then press and hold it for 3 seconds. The indicator will blink white quickly for 5 seconds to confirm the setting.
Note: These settings can also be configured via the Homey app and Home Assistant. The default dimming mode is trailing edge.
4. Zigbee Network Pairing
a. Ensure the device is removed from any previous Zigbee network. If it is already paired, new pairing attempts will fail.
b. To initiate pairing, short press the setting button once, then press and hold it for 1 second (pairing timeout is 180 seconds).
c. A blue light will flash slowly while the device searches for a network. Upon successful connection, the blue light will remain solid for 5 seconds.
5. Touchlink
a. To enter Touchlink mode, short press the setting button 5 times and then long press for 3 seconds. The indicator light will flash once every 1 second.
b. Bring your remote control within 10cm of the dimming socket and activate the TouchLink commissioning process on the remote. After successful pairing, the indicator light will stay green for 5 seconds. This mode has a timeout of 180 seconds.
6. Find and Bind
To enter Find and Bind mode, short press the setting button 6 times and then long press for 3 seconds. The purple light will flash gradually to indicate that the mode has been successfully entered.
7. Factory Reset
To reset the device to factory settings, short press the button 7 times continuously, then press and hold it for 3 seconds. If the indicator light remains red for 5 seconds, the off-network reset has been completed successfully.
8. OTA (Over-The-Air) Function
a. To enter OTA mode, press the reset button 9 times, then press and hold for 3 seconds. The indicator will flash red and blue alternately, and the connected load will turn off, signaling that the device is ready for OTA updates.
b. Use the "OTA Upgrade" app. Click the "Get started" button, then the "Search" button to find devices. The address of the found device will be displayed. Click "Select" to access the device information interface, which offers two options: "Upgrade Zigbee" and "Upgrade MCU".
c. Choose the appropriate upgrade option based on your requirements.
d. Upon successful OTA completion, the dimmer will activate the connected load, and the indicator light will turn solid green. If the OTA process fails, the connected load and indicator will remain off. Repeat the steps if an error occurs.
Notes:
- Device control is not possible during the OTA process.
- Do not disconnect power during OTA.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
To activate OTA function mode: Short press the setting button 4 times and long press on the fifth time for 3 seconds.
Important Notice
This dimmer plug is intended for use exclusively with light sources rated up to a maximum of 150W. Connecting other electrical or electronic components may result in damage to those components or to the dimmer plug itself.
