Changing Startup Screen
Save a GIF file in the NUX LOOPER
> NCL-2
folder > GIF
folder. The DISP setting must be set to USER. Size limitations apply (320x170 pixels, Max 8 seconds, Max size 1MB). Only one GIF file should be saved (delete the default USERGIF.GIF
).
Audio File Import/Export
Audio data for each slot is saved in the NUX LOOPER
> NCL-2
folder > WAVE
folder. This allows saving created phrase loops to a PC. WAV data can also be saved to the folder and played back on the pedal.
Loop Core Stereo only supports 44.1kHz/32 bits Stereo floating WAV format. Other data cannot be played. Use the NUX Audio Format Converter software (downloadable from the product page) to convert audio data to compatible WAV files.
Firmware Update
Firmware may be updated for new features/fixes. Check the product HP for the latest information. If newer data is available than what you have, follow these steps: Download "Loop Core Stereo Firmware (Mac or Windows)" from the product page. Extract the downloaded zip file.
- Launch
MIDI_DFU_Updater
from the extracted folder. - Connect PC and pedal via USB cable. Simultaneously press the footswitch and DRUM STYLE button, then connect the AC adapter. The pedal display will show "FIRMWARE UPDATE START READY!".
- Click the
refresh
button inMIDI_DFU_Updater
and confirm "MIDI DFU" appears in MIDI Device Out/In. - Click
file...
, select the.bin
file from the downloaded folder. (A message "This is a binary file!" is normal). - Click
Start Update
.
When the progress bar reaches 100% and the pedal displays "UPDATE OK!", the update is complete. Close MIDI_DFU_Updater
and disconnect the AC adapter.
Connection Examples
Example 1: Mono Input / Mono Output
Connect your guitar to IN A (MONO) and your amplifier to OUT A (MONO). This is the most common setup. Set AUDIO PATH to "STEREO IN/OUT".
Example 2: Stereo Input / Stereo Output
Utilize all four jacks for stereo input and stereo output. Set AUDIO PATH to "STEREO IN/OUT".
Example 3: OUT A for Guitar, OUT B for Drum Machine
Output guitar signal and phrase loops from OUT A, and drum machine signals from OUT B. Set AUDIO PATH to "SPLIT IN/OUT". If a signal is input to IN B, it will be output from OUT B and not recorded. Recommended for separating instrument and rhythm machine output simply.
Example 4: OUT A & B to a Mixer
Connect both OUT A and OUT B to a mixer. OUT A carries the guitar signal and phrase loops, while OUT B carries the drum signal. This allows for individual adjustment and mixing on the mixer. It also includes frequency correction for a better signal from OUT A. Set AUDIO PATH to "SPLIT TO MIXER".
MIDI Control
Connect MIDI devices to the Loop Core Stereo's MIDI jacks (1/8") to control the pedal via MIDI. Refer to the table for function assignments.
