Thank you for choosing the BURG-WÄCHTER safe with the SECUTRONIC electronic lock. This electronic lock is certified according to ECB-S Class A and can be opened with a PIN code. You have purchased a product that meets extremely high security requirements and has been developed and manufactured using the latest technical possibilities.

Important: Before starting programming, please read the entire user manual thoroughly and keep it in a safe place so you can refer to it when needed.

Keypad Layout and Components

The keypad features numbers and letters. The diagram shows the following labeled components:

  • A: Clear button [Clear] - Used to exit programming mode.
  • B: On/Enter button [On/Enter] - Used to activate the lock, confirm entries, and enter programming mode.
  • C: Ready for opening LED - Lights up when a valid opening code is entered and programming is successful.
  • D: Battery replacement symbol ? - If this LED lights up, replace all 3 batteries (LR6/AA/1.5V Alkaline).
  • E: Ready for input/programming LED - Lights up when entering programming mode. Turns off when exiting programming mode.
  • F: Input rejected / lockout time LED - Lights up when an invalid code is entered or programming fails. If an incorrect code is entered three times consecutively, the lock is blocked for 5 minutes. The LED flashes during this period. Opening is not possible even with the correct code in this state.

Operating Instructions

Opening the Safe with PIN Code

Press the [On/Enter] button.

Enter the PIN code. If the code is entered correctly, the green LED lights up; if rejected, the red LED lights up.

To open the door, turn the rotary knob clockwise.

Entering Programming Mode to Change Settings

Press the [On/Enter] button.

Enter the numbers 76 (Program mode).

Press [On/Enter] and enter the current valid PIN code.

Upon entering a valid PIN code, the green LED will light up briefly, followed by a flashing yellow LED. As long as the yellow 'Ready for input/programming' LED is flashing, you are in programming mode and can perform various operations.

Operations in Programming Mode

Changing the PIN Code

Enter the numbers 22 (change code), then press [On/Enter].

Enter the new 6-digit code and confirm by pressing [On/Enter].

Enter the new code again and confirm by pressing [On/Enter].

The yellow LED flashes throughout the entire process.

Upon successful modification, the green LED lights up.

Exit programming mode by pressing the [Clear] button twice.

Battery Replacement

The diagram illustrates the battery replacement process. It requires 3 x 1.5V Mignon (LR6) batteries.

Step 1: Locate the battery compartment.

Step 2: Open the battery compartment cover.

Step 3: Remove old batteries and insert new ones.

Step 4: Close the battery compartment.

Do not dispose of the device with household waste. Instead, inquire at your local municipality about collection points for electronic waste.
