To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, strictly follow these instructions:
The timer unit attaches to the stake. Align the four tabs on the stake with the four corresponding holes on the back of the timer. Push the tabs down, then up, until they lock into place. This assembly is similar to a vertical unit with a stake extending downwards from its base.
Tips: If the ground is too hard to insert the stake, digging a hole that matches the stake with a hard object is recommended.
The timer unit features several key components:
The device is a rectangular unit with a digital display at the top, an overload protection switch on one side, and multiple three-prong outlets on the front face. A power cord extends from the bottom, leading to a stake attachment.
Before initial use, plug the timer in for at least 30 minutes to charge its internal battery. The unit is ready for programming once the screen displays.
Before programming, all settings should be reset. The reset hole, identified by "R", is located just below the “R/RECALL” button. Use a paper clip or ballpoint pen to press it. The display will show a default time like "88:88" with all days of the week (MO TU WE TH FR SA SU) and "PROG AUTO ON OFF" indicators, then after a few seconds, it will clear to "00:00" with only "MO" and "AUTO OFF" indicators.
There are a total of 20 ON/OFF settings available.
Note: The timer should operate in the “AUTO ON” or “AUTO OFF” mode. Refer to the "Switching Mode Indication" section.
The current operating mode is shown on the display as “ON”, “AUTO ON”, “OFF”, or “AUTO OFF” along with the time of day. Press the “ON/AUTO/OFF” button to cycle through and adjust to the desired setting mode.
As an independent programming feature, it is possible to advance to the next switching command at any given time by continuously pressing the “MANUAL” button. The display will cycle through modes: AUTO OFF → ON → AUTO ON → OFF.
Press and hold the “CLOCK” button for 3 seconds to advance the current time by 1 hour; a “+1h” icon will appear on the display. Press and hold the “CLOCK” button for 3 seconds again to decrease 1 hour, and the “+1h” icon will disappear. For example, a display showing "TH 8:00" will change to "TH 9:00" with a "+1h" indicator.
In the event of a power failure, the timer will retain its settings for an estimated 3 months if the power backup is fully charged.
