Installation

As shown in the figure, connect the three sections together. Be sure to firmly tighten the stake to the body before installing into the ground.

Tips: If the ground is too hard to insert the stake, digging a hole that matches the stake with a hard object will be perfect.

Press the switch to "I" position.

Operating Instructions

Before initial use, plug the timer in for at least 30 minutes to charge the internal battery. After the screen displays, the unit is ready for programming.

1. Reset

Before programming, all settings should be reset. Please insert a non-conducting stick into the hole to reset the timer. As shown in Figure 1.

Warm Tip: The reaction time is 15 seconds for every setting. It means that once longer than 15 seconds waited when you finished your current setting, the timer will save your setting and go back to normal current time display while if you want to continue the settings, you have to enter into the settings from the first step.

2. Current Time Setting

Example: If it is 6:10 pm Wednesday, please follow below steps to set the current day and time.

  1. Press and hold the "+" button for 2 seconds to enter the current time settings.
  2. Press "+" or "-" button to set the correct day until "WE" displays on the top of the screen, shown as Figure 2.

  4. Press the "PROG" button to enter the hour setting. Press "+" or "-" button until "6:00pm" displays on the screen, shown as Figure 3.

  6. Press the "PROG" button to enter the minute setting. Press "+" or "-" button until "6:10pm" displays on the screen, shown as Figure 4.

During the setting, press the "PROG" button for 3 seconds or wait for 15 seconds to return to the current time display.

3. ON/OFF Program Setting

NOTE: While setting the programs, press the "X" button to clear the programmed time. Once complete the programs settings, press the "MODE" button, press the "PROG" button for 3 seconds, or wait for 15 seconds to restore your programs and return to the current time display.

Example: If now is 6:10 PM Wednesday, and you want it on at 7:30 PM / off at 9:00 PM everyday, please follow below steps to set the ON/OFF setting.

  1. Press the "PROG" button and "1 ON" will appear on the display, shown as Figure 5.

  3. Press the "PROG" button to enter the setting program, the "MO" will blink, shown as Figure 6.

  5. Press the "+" or "-" button to select the correct day such as: MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU (everyday), shown as Figure 7. Other options include MO TU WE TH FR (workday) and SA SU (weekend).

  7. Press the "PROG" button to enter the hour setting. Press "+" or "-" button to set the desired hours for your timer to turn on, shown as Figure 8. Be sure that AM or PM appears correctly.

  9. Press the "PROG" button to enter the minute setting. Press "+" or "-" button to set the desired minutes for your timer to turn on, shown as Figure 9.

  11. Press the "PROG" button to enter the first OFF setting, "1 OFF" will appear on the display. Repeat steps "a" to "d" to set your desired OFF time, up to 8 on/off program settings.

(There are total 8 ON/OFF settings. When you choose AUTO mode, you could set no more than 8 ON/OFF settings, every setting has its own DAY/HOUR/MINUTE procedure, while they are independent and do not interfere with each other.)

4. MODE Setting

Press the "MODE" button constantly to choose the desired mode. The mode will show on the left screen. Options include RDM, TIMER, PHOTOCELL.

Press the "+" or "-" button to manually override the on/off status.

Display Modes:

The timer only triggers the power on and off at the specified times. It will only power on when the timer reaches the scheduled "on" time. It should power on the next time that the timer reaches the "on" time. Make sure that you have chosen the right AM/PM setting on the timer as well.

5. Photocell Setting

Press the "MODE" button to select the photocell function. Turn on the power at Dusk and turn off the power at Dawn automatically.

6. Countdown 2H or 8H

Note: You should plug the timer into the outlet first to operate the countdown mode.

Press the "2H" or "8H" button to turn power on instantly for 2 hours or 8 hours. Once the power is turned off after 2 hours or 8 hours, the existing timer programs will resume to work according to the previous 8 programmed times.

Power Back-up Feature

In the event of a power failure, the timer will retain its settings for about 3 months, if the battery is fully charged. You do not need to worry about the loss of program.

Safety Information

Risk of Fire. Not for permanent installation. Use only with outdoor equipment, Christmas-tree, or other seasonal decorative-lighting products having a total of 13 Ampere maximum. Do not install or use this product for more than a 90-day period.

If using Christmas tree or decorative - lighting products that are not marked with an ampere rating, connect no more than 140 screw-base lamps (C7 or C9) or 12 strings with midget (push-in) lamps to this cord set.

Cord sets shall be plugged into a GFCI - protected receptacle.

If using an outdoor-use cord set for an extended period of time (greater than 90 days) please consider hard wiring a permanent outdoor-use receptacle rated for year-round use in the area that power is needed. Please contact a Licensed electrician for proper installation of permanent wiring.

After completion of installation, the connector shall be maintained a minimum of 6 inches above ground.
