ZWILLING Cookware: Pure Cooking Enjoyment and Delightfully Easy to Care For

Your new ZWILLING cookware is high-quality, versatile, energy-efficient, and easy to handle. Please read the following instructions for use and care before using this product to ensure that you can continue to enjoy it for a long time to come.

Before Using the Product for the First Time

Clean your new ZWILLING cookware with hot water, washing-up liquid, and a sponge, cloth, or brush. Dry the product to prevent water spots from forming.

Instructions for Correct and Energy-Saving Use

Only heat cookware when it is dry to prevent burnt-on traces of oil and water. Never leave your cookware unattended while heating and never heat up the cookware for long periods while empty. Overheating may cause discoloration, but will not affect the function of the cookware. Extreme overheating may permanently damage the base.

The hob/element should have the same or smaller diameter as the base of the pot. To keep heat loss as low as possible, it is advisable to place the lid on the pot while cooking. The extremely efficient heat distribution properties of ZWILLING cookware means that food is cooked well even at medium heat: Reducing the setting at the right time saves energy and prevents overheating.

Only fill the cookware up to 70-80% to avoid burns due to the contents boiling over. Only add salt to boiling water and stir. Adding salt to cold water could result in discoloration and surface pitting.

Cookware with plastic handles are ovenproof up to 150 °C (300 °F).

Instructions for Induction Hobs

The risk of overheating is particularly high with induction hobs. Heat up the cookware slowly on medium heat and supervise at all times. Do not use the boost function.

A buzzing or humming noise may occur when higher temperature settings are used. This is due to technical reasons and is not a sign that the oven or cookware is faulty. If the diameter of the hob/element does not match the diameter of the pot base, the hob may not react.

Instructions for Gas Hobs

When cooking on a gas hob, ensure that the gas flame does not burn around the sides of the cookware base. Using oven gloves or a tea towel is recommended to prevent burns.

Cleaning and Care Instructions

Allow your ZWILLING cookware to cool down before cleaning. Glass lids in particular could be damaged due to temperature shock.

ZWILLING products are simple and easy to clean. The cookware is dishwasher-safe; however, we recommend cleaning by hand with warm water, a little washing-up liquid, and a soft cloth. Aggressive cleaning products could damage the cookware and reduce the non-stick properties. Products with an external coating can show signs of ageing due to regular cleaning in the dishwasher. However, this does not affect the functional properties of the product. Uncoated ZWILLING cookware can be cleaned on the inside and base with the rough side of a sponge in case of heavy soiling. To prevent marks or discoloration on the stainless steel, do not allow food scraps to dry on to the product. White or multi-coloured discoloration and layers can be removed with conventional stainless steel cleaners, lemon juice, or vinegar. Do not use the cookware to store acidic food for long periods. Acidic foods can corrode the surface.

Important Safety Information

For safety reasons, never leave your cookware unattended when in use and never leave children unsupervised in the vicinity of hot cookware. Make sure that handles do not project over the edge of your oven or over a hot hob/element. The handles of your ZWILLING cookware are designed to stay cool; however, after prolonged use, the lid and handles may still get hot. Always use oven gloves or a tea towel when removing cookware from a hot oven. Only put down hot cookware on heat-resistant surfaces.

The lid of your ZWILLING cookware fits extremely precisely. Vacuum formation could result in the lid sticking to the product. Should this happen, simply heat up the cookware for a few minutes at a low temperature to release the lid.

ZWILLING cookware is NOT suitable for use in the microwave and can cause serious damage.

Everything You Need to Know About Your Non-Stick-Coated ZWILLING Cookware - Instructions for Use

Coated cookware is extremely easy to clean and is perfect for the gentle preparation of foods, which are prone to sticking. Heat up the cookware slowly at medium heat and use low or medium temperatures (2/3 of the maximum oven output) for cooking. For healthier cooking, use minimal amounts of oils or fats with a smoking point around 200 °C (400 °F) or higher and do not use oil sprays. Oil sprays leave residues, which are difficult to remove. Please clean cookware with non-stick coating by hand.

Important: The non-stick properties of any coated cookware will wear off during normal usage over time. Overheating and burning food can speed up this process. Coated cookware can still be used without any concerns, should the non-stick properties diminish.

Cookware is ovenproof up to 230 °C (450 °F) with non-stick coating and up to 200 °C (350 °F) with ceramic coating without plastic handles.

Important: Discoloration may occur at these high temperatures. This can be removed with a stainless steel care product.

Utensils: To ensure that the non-stick coating is optimally protected, we recommend using utensils made from wood or high-quality silicone gadgets from ZWILLING. Please do not use any sharp objects and do not cut your food in the cookware.

Guarantee: If you experience any issues within the warranty period, please return the frying pan along with proof of purchase to the retailer, unless otherwise indicated. Alternatively, you can return it directly to the address printed on the cookware packaging.

Damage caused by improper use, such as overheating, discoloration, scratches, dropping on the floor, or incorrect cleaning, is excluded from the manufacturer's guarantee. Use of our cookware in professional kitchens and purely visual marks caused by use are also excluded from the manufacturer's guarantee.
