General Operation
Power On: Press the [start] button.
Power Off: Press and hold the [start] button for 3 seconds.
Force Power Off: Press and hold the [start] button for 8 seconds.
Nintendo Switch Connection
Pairing Instructions:
- Press and hold [Y] + [start] to turn on the controller. The LEDs will start rotating.
- Press and hold the [pair] button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. The LEDs will pause briefly then resume rotating.
- On your Switch, navigate to Home Page > Controllers > Change Grip/Order.
- The LEDs will become solid when the connection is successful.
- The controller will automatically reconnect to your Switch with a press of the [start] button after initial pairing.
Button Mapping:
- [star] button = Switch Screenshot button
- [home] button = Switch HOME button
Controller Layout Description: The controller features a D-pad, a left analog stick, Start, Select, Home, L, R, L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons, and four face buttons (typically labeled A, B, X, Y in diagrams).
Android Connection (D-input Mode)
Pairing Instructions:
- Press and hold [B] + [start] to turn on the controller. LED 1 will blink.
- Press and hold the [pair] button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. LED 1 will pause briefly then start rotating again.
- On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for and pair with "[8BitDo M30 gamepad]".
- The LED will become solid when the connection is successful.
- The controller will automatically reconnect to your Android device with a press of the [start] button after initial pairing.
USB Connection: Connect the controller to your Android device via USB cable after powering it on.
Controller Layout Description: The controller features a D-pad, a left analog stick, Start, Select, Home, L, R, L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons, and face buttons (typically labeled A, B, X, C in diagrams), plus a Turbo button.
Windows Connection (X-input Mode)
Pairing Instructions:
- Press and hold [X] + [start] to turn on the controller. LEDs 1 & 2 will blink.
- Press and hold the [pair] button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. The LEDs will pause briefly then start rotating again.
- On your Windows device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for and pair with "[8BitDo M30 gamepad]".
- The LEDs will become solid when the connection is successful.
- The controller will automatically reconnect to your Windows device with a press of the [start] button after initial pairing.
USB Connection: Connect the controller to your Windows device via USB cable after powering it on.

macOS Connection
Pairing Instructions:
- Press and hold [A] + [start] to turn on the controller. LEDs 1, 2 & 3 will blink.
- Press and hold the [pair] button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. The LEDs will pause briefly then start rotating again.
- On your macOS device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for and pair with "[Wireless Controller]".
- The LEDs will become solid when the connection is successful.
- The controller will automatically reconnect to your macOS device with a press of the [start] button after initial pairing.
USB Connection: Connect the controller to your macOS device via USB cable after powering it on.
Controller Layout Description: The controller features a D-pad, a left analog stick, Start, Select, Home, L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons, and face buttons (typically labeled A, B, X in diagrams). It also includes a Turbo button.
Turbo Function
To activate/deactivate turbo functionality: Hold the desired button and then press the [star] button.
Note: Turbo function is not supported for the D-pad or analog sticks. It is also not available when connected to a Nintendo Switch.
Battery and Power Saving
Battery: Built-in 480mAh Li-on battery provides approximately 18 hours of playtime. Rechargeable via USB-C cable with a charging time of 1-2 hours.
Battery Status Indicators:
- Low Battery: Red LED blinks.
- Charging: Solid red LED.
- Fully Charged: LED turns off.
Power Saving:
- Sleep Mode: Activates after 1 minute of no Bluetooth connection or 15 minutes of inactivity with a Bluetooth connection.
- To wake the controller, press the [start] button.
- When connected via USB, the controller remains powered on.
