PC472-W-TY Power Meter Series
Quick Start Guide (PC472-W-TY & PC472-R-W-TY)
Connect with the Smart Life App for monitoring and control.
1. Welcome
The PC472-W-TY Power Meter helps you monitor power consumption in your facility by connecting a clamp to the power cable. It can measure Voltage, Current, Power Factor, and Active Power. For models with a relay, it allows control of On/Off status. You can check real-time energy data and historical usage via the mobile App.
This guide provides an overview of the product and assists with initial setup.
Device Overview:

2. Wiring
Please ensure the main breaker is turned off before installing.
Checking CT Direction
For Split Core CT: Open the clamp and look for an arrow (P1→P2) or (K→L) on the sticker outside the clamp. This indicates the CT direction. The CT supports bi-directional sensing.
For Donut CT: The direction is from the concave surface of the CT to the flat surface. The CT also supports bi-directional sensing.
A visual representation shows a split-core CT with a red wire passing through it, and arrows indicating the direction of current flow.
Connection Steps:
- Connect the AC Input cable to a socket near the Electrical Box to power the PC472, following the wiring diagram. Apply the CT to the electric cable and ensure its direction is correct.
- To measure energy consumption, the CT direction must be consistent with the direction of electricity current flow. The power reading will be positive.
- To measure energy production, the CT direction must be opposite to the direction of electricity current flow. The power reading will be negative.
- Ensure the main power in your facility is off before installing. Follow the schematics below as an example to wire the Power Meter.
Single Phase Electricity Wiring Diagram (Without Relay):
The diagram shows the main power supply (L, N) connected to a Circuit Breaker. From the breaker, power goes to the Power Meter's L and N terminals. The Load's L and N terminals are connected to the Power Meter's 1+ and 1- terminals respectively. The Inverter (DC/AC)'s L and N terminals are connected to the Power Meter's 2+ and 2- terminals respectively. CT clamps are shown around the wires feeding the Load and the Inverter, with arrows indicating current flow direction.
Single Phase Electricity Wiring Diagram (With Relay):
This diagram is similar to the one without a relay, but the Power Meter is labeled "Power Meter with Relay" and includes a power symbol button. The wiring connects the Load and Inverter through the relay contacts of the Power Meter.
Note: Please select the appropriate wiring reference diagram based on the actual product purchased.
3. Get to know your device
The device features a "Power Meter" display with terminals for L, N, 1+, 1-, 2+, 2-. It includes an LED indicator and a combined Reset Button & ON/OFF button.
Reset Button
Reset: Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash Red 3 times quickly to clear WiFi information (energy data remains). After clearing, the LED indicator will blink continuously, waiting for pairing.
ON/OFF Button
On/Off: Press once to switch the Power Meter ON or OFF. This function is only available for devices equipped with a relay.
