Thank you for purchasing the new UTi120P thermal imager. In order to use this product safely and correctly, please read this manual thoroughly, especially the Safety Instructions part. After reading this manual, it is recommended to keep the manual at an easily accessible place, preferably close to the device, for future reference.

Uni-Trend guarantees that the product is free from any defect in material and workmanship within one year from the purchase date. This warranty does not apply to damages caused by accident, negligence, misuse, modification, contamination or improper handling. The dealer shall not be entitled to give any other warranty on behalf of Uni-Trend. If you need warranty service within the warranty period, please contact your seller directly.

Uni-Trend will not be responsible for any special, indirect, incidental or subsequent damage or loss caused by using this device. As some countries or regions do not allow limitations on implied warranties and incidental or subsequent damages, the above limitation of liability may not apply to you.

3. Display

The thermal image display interface shows temperature, color palette, and various icons:

4. Turn on/off

Long press the power button to turn the device on or off.

5. Menu introduction

To navigate the menus:

  1. Press the OK button to enter the main menu.
  2. Press the Left / Right button to enter a submenu.
  3. Press the OK button to confirm an option.
  4. Press the Left / Right button to choose °C / °F.
  5. Press the Picture taking / Back button twice to return to the thermal image display interface.

The main menu and submenu structure is as follows:

Main menu and submenu:

Icons represent: °C/°F option, Cursor display, Color palette, Picture playback, Settings.

Submenu options: Center point position, High/low temperature tracking.

6. Picture taking and storage

Press the picture taking button to photograph the current image. The screen will display an option to save or discard the picture. Press the right button to save, and the left button to discard.

7. Temperature unit

Press the OK button to enter the main menu. Use the left/right button to choose the desired option. Press the OK button to enter the submenu. Use the left/right button to confirm the selection. Press the back button to exit the current menu and return to the thermal image interface.

8. Center point and Hi/low temperature tracking

To enable center point and Hi/low temperature tracking:

  1. Press the OK button to enter the main menu.
  2. Press the left/right button to choose the Center point option (represented by a circle icon).
  3. Press the OK button to enter the submenu.
  4. Press the left/right button to choose and then press OK to confirm the option.

When an orange round point is displayed, the center point of temperature tracking is active. If it is not displayed, it is off.

Press the OK button to choose the Hi/LO Alert option. When an orange round point is displayed, it means High/low temperature tracking is active; otherwise, it is off.

Press the back button to exit the current menu and return to the thermal image interface. The color bar on the right side will show the high/low temperature.

9. Color palette

There are three color palette options: iron, rainbow, and grey. To adjust the thermal color:

  1. Press the OK button to enter the main menu.
  2. Press the left/right button to choose the desired color palette option.
  3. Press the back button to exit the current menu and return to the thermal image interface.

In the image display interface, pressing the right button allows switching between the current image and the fast thermal tracking image.

Note: The fast thermal tracking image does not support switching to iron red, rainbow, or grey color palettes.

10. Picture playback

To access picture playback:

  1. Press the OK button to enter the main menu.
  2. Press the left/right button to choose the picture playback option.
  3. Press the back button to go back to the main menu.

To view detailed picture information, choose the corresponding icon. Press the back button to return to the main menu.

To enter the picture playback submenu, press the OK button. Use the left/right button to view or delete pictures. Press the back button to go back to the main menu.

To delete a picture, press the OK button to choose the option, then use the left/right button to select 'Delete'. Press '√' to confirm deletion and return to the picture playback submenu, or press 'x' to cancel and return directly to the picture playback submenu.

11. Settings

Navigate to the settings menu by pressing the OK button. Use the left/right button to select a setting item, and press OK to enter the respective submenu. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

Available settings include:

12. Language

Press the OK button to select the language option. Use the left/right button to switch between Chinese (中文) and English. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

13. Time and date

Press the OK button to enter the time & date submenu. Use the left/right button to adjust the date and time parameters. Press OK to save the settings. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

14. Emissivity

Press the OK button to enter the emissivity submenu. Use the left/right button to set the emissivity parameter between 0.01 and 0.99. Press OK to save the setting. The default emissivity is 0.95. Setting the correct emissivity is crucial for accurate temperature measurements, as it significantly impacts the measured surface temperature.

15. Auto power off

Press the OK button to enter the auto power off submenu. Use the left/right button to select the desired auto power off time (5 Mins, 10 Mins, 30 Mins, or Off). Press OK to confirm the setting. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

16. Brightness

Press the button to enter the display brightness submenu. Use the left/right button to choose the brightness level (Low, Middle, or High). Press OK to confirm the setting. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

17. HI/LO Alert

Press the OK button to enter the High/low temperature alarm submenu. Use the left/right button to set the alarm temperature parameters for high and low temperatures. Press OK to confirm the settings. Users can choose to turn the alert option on or off. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

18. Local Info

Press the OK button to enter the device information submenu. Use the left/right button to view detailed information such as Firmware version, Capacity, Available space, and Code. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

19. Recovery

Press the OK button to enter the recovery submenu. Use the left/right button to choose 'Yes' or 'No' and press OK to confirm the setting. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

20. Format SD

Press the OK button to enter the format SD submenu. Use the left/right button to choose 'Yes' or 'No'. If 'Yes' is chosen, a sand clock icon will appear, indicating the formatting process. It will disappear after formatting is complete. Press the back button to exit the current menu.

Note: Format the SD card before using the product.

21. Maintenance

Use a damp cloth or a mild soap solution to clean the outer shell of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners, isopropyl alcohol, or solvents to clean the lens and window.

22. Safety instructions

To ensure accurate measurement results, please read the instructions carefully.

Please ensure that the product is used in accordance with these instructions. Failure to do so may void the warranty if the product is damaged. Do not use this product in flammable, explosive, steamy, wet, or corrosive environments. Stop using the product immediately if it is damaged or has been modified, to avoid inaccurate test results. Use the correct emissivity value for accurate temperature readings.

The internal temperature of the product may rise while charging, which could affect the accuracy of temperature measurements. It is not recommended to use the product while it is charging.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
