Maintenance and Care
To ensure good performance and longevity of your radio:
- Avoid strong impacts, dropping, or exposure to extreme heat or humidity.
- If the sound is distorted or faint, replace the batteries.
- Do not charge, heat, or attempt to disassemble batteries, as this could cause leakage or explosion.
- If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent corrosion.
- Internal components are factory-adjusted; do not attempt to adjust them yourself.
Cleaning the Cabinet
Clean the radio's cabinet with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol, thinner, or other strong cleaning agents.
Power Supply
The radio operates on 2 AAA batteries. Insert batteries into the battery compartment (8), observing correct polarity.
Antenna Operation
- FM/FM Stereo: The wires of the connected earphone act as the FM antenna. For optimal reception, avoid coiling the earphone wires tightly. If the FM signal is weak, try moving the band switch (5) to the 'FM' band (to reduce noise). For strong signals, switch to 'FM Stereo' for the best reception.
- AM: The radio uses an internal magnetic antenna for AM reception. Rotate the radio's direction to achieve the best reception.
